Angelo also dismissed some questions on AEM. The answers and responses he did provide reak of "politician" and not of someone passionate - or even knowledgeable - about APS issues.

so that's not cherry picking but me pointing out Miranda's evasive answer on where her kids go to school is?

are you really ok with her saying she's a Drew parent when NONE of her kids go to Drew???

You are cherry-picking when you call her a liar or deliberate misleading calling her child a rising APS 6th grader merely because her 5th grader is currently in a private school.
Pointing out Angelo's responses to multiple questions being dismissive and full of typical politician evasiveness and/or canned responses is not the same thing.

I find it rather creepy that she is on the PTA of a school that none of her kids attend. I would feel weird about any adult who did the same.

Would you rather the PTA go without needed leadership and support? Because that's why Miranda has continued to be involved with Drew PTA even after her kids in Montessori left because Montessori moved out of the building. Drew PTA didn't have the people they needed step up! So it's creepy that someone who lives in the neighborhood wants to support the neighborhood school whether they have kids in the school or not? Would you find it creepy for an adult who moved to the neighborhood but doesn't have kids or whose kids attended school in their previous home location to care about their surrounding community and join the neighborhood school's PTA? Especially if it's a school that has traditionally struggled to solicit strong PTA participation?

I mention that something's creepy once and I'm suddenly obsessed with it? Miranda's supporters are truly digging her grave.

I volunteer at the schools where my children attend. And when one of my children moved to middle school, I did not feel the need to continue volunteering at the ES. There were others to take my place. I promise that Drew will be fine without her.

So yes, Miranda is creepy. She should seriously stop volunteering at Drew because I'm sure I am not the only person who feels that way.

Clearly a parent at a school that doesn't struggle with participation, volunteerism, or money.

Relax. Drew can recruit their own volunteers, just like other PTAs in Arlington. They don't need help from a well intentioned white woman whose kids don't even go to their school.

I don't know if it's creepy, but it's definitely weird that Miranda is seen as such a savior of Drew.

Not only does the kid know nothing about Arlington schools, APS is not his passion. Politics is his passion. This is merely an opportunity to launch his political career ambitions.

100% White saviortism is all over Arlington! Miranda volunteering at Drew really is too much.

I'm not "Miranda's supporters" but still find your level of contempt for her and critique of her every move/word ridiculous. If this weren't Miranda or one of the other APE-ers, I don't think you would genuinely care so much about her volunteering on a PTA at a school her children formerly attended.

I would rather not vote for the kid, but I'm definitely not voting for Miranda and her APE mission. She will only listen to APE supporters, no matter what anyone else tells you. Screw everyone else's kid.

So Antonio it is. Pathetic.

Nah. Even if Smart Restart if they are still a thing volunteered at a school that didn't have their children going there I'd be noping all the way down the street. It's creepy. Woman, man or other.

This thread was principally about who the caucus would support. Does angelo have any supporters lined up in the caucus yet? Miranda seems to have chairs or former chairs of blue families, aapi caucus, disability caucus and others. I see about a half dozen familiar names of AC/DC insiders.

If she really believes in drew, she should send her own kids to the school

Actually yes she really can be worse.

I'm voting for the kid because at least he hasn't damaged our school system and isn't beholden to a group of crazies.

were they actually at Drew or were they in Montessori when it was in the same building as Drew? Big difference.

People are talking about this because Mirandai is trying to get credit for having her kids at a majority minority Title 1 school when that's not accurate. Get it?

And we all remember the Montessori parents' loud lobbying for their OWN building. To get out of and away from Drew.

You clearly are not familiar with Drew and the difficulty it has historically had with its PTA.
GMB. Nobody is claiming (including Miranda) that she is Drew's savior. She's merely citing her relevant involvement with APS.
