| I have a lot of family in Carmel, Fishers, and Indianapolis. Couldn’t pay me to live there, but to each their own! |
Republican supermajorities in the state house and senate and an abortion ban. That’s Deep South enough. |
| There is 3% poverty in Carmel. Pretty easy for a town to look nice when all of the affluent people move to the same area. But if people here are advocating for policies to eliminate poverty, I’m listening. |
And what specifically is wrong with it? |

Keep the poverty in their own zip codes |

I'm surprised no one mentioned Mike Pence lives in Carmel. He bought a mansion there -- for $1.9mln.
Yes, Carmel is heavily white but so is Indiana -- 84.2% white based on the latest census. Oregon is more white at 86.2% if you want to point to a Democrat-controlled state that's also white. It's a wealthy suburb of Indianapolis. It's kind of boring (I've been there), but aren't most suburbs? |
How many guns and drug ods like Fairfax? |

POC here. Lived there as a kid. Literally one of the most overtly racist places I’ve ever experienced. Our family was repeatedly called racial slurs, told “to go back where we came from.” Not exaggerating one bit. My parents called it “The Mississippi of the Midwest.”

| Carmel is the McLean of Indiana but doesn’t have DC nearby for diversity training and entertainment. |
| I saw the high school on tik tok and it does look amazing, but that’s not a good enough reason to move to Indiana. |
More drug overdose deaths per capita in IN than VA. |
