No amount of money would ever get cause me to live in Indiana but sheesh, I just looked at Zillow it is a bit depressing to see that I could have a palace for the price of my home. I guess there is a reason it’s so cheap.

Just about anything's better than the DC area, and Carmel, Indiana is an easy win. Sure, depressing, run down, hellholes like Hartford or west central Mississippi are off the list, but there's a lot of better our there than here.

Having grown up near, but not in, Carmel, and with lots of family in various areas of the state, I stand by the fact that the quoted poster has no clue what they're talking about.

I live in Carmel. Yes, there are Jewish families here. I've taken classes at the JCC in Indianapolis, very nice facility and about 20 minutes away from Carmel. There are synagogues here
