You adult children take the cake. It’s all about you.

Keep making excuses for destroying a family!

Sit down. You must never have been in abusive relationship with a spouse. Stop making everything about your relationship with your parents.

op asked a question, pp is answering with their thoughts/opinion, and you are being unnecessarily rude and insulting.

“You adult children take the cake?” That is a ridiculous statement.

Amazing how you can't see how your divorce affects others. Are you always this selfish?

I didn't ruin my children's lives by divorcing, so no.

It seems quite rude and agressive to call people rude and aggressive.

The trolls here hate religion and religious people, and disrupt and disrespect every thread they can. It’s pathological.

Anonymous wrote:Interesting question. I do want a church that challenges me to reexamine my beliefs (and my life, for that matter). To me, that's what a church is for -- if I just want to be told I'm perfect and wonderful, I can call my mom.

So I guess the question is, if a church leader tells me "You're wrong to do X, or to believe Y," my question would be "Well, why? Where does that come from?" It's at least possible that they're right and I'm wrong -- not certain, of course, but possible. So I should at least give it some thought and research.

Then again, to be honest, sometimes if somebody were to tell me "You're wrong to do X," my answer would have to be "Yeah, I know."

Great response.

Not all religious people are alike. Some are quite respectful of different religious beliefs, including non-belief.

Right? As soon as a person who leads a church claims to know the will of God more than another is already out in my book. No one on this Earth knows the true nature God and the sooner we realize that and focus not on others' sin, but on our own journey to be a godly person, the better off we will all will be.

Yes, I would. I go to church to hear the voice of God, not to affirm my political affiliation or sexual orientation. I don't care about one member of the church's views, even if he/she is a priest. I know this person is just a human, who may be wrong, misled or tempted by Satan.

I agree. We go to church to worship God, not pat ourselves on the backs for being swell people.

That is fine and their prerogative - but why post in religious forums if not interested in religion ?
