Should one notorious girl in a grade deter us from applying there?

So sad...At some point you have to stand up for yourself, plain and simple. If the school is the best fit, you go and deal with the rest later. Dealt with a bully via the parents. Very simple.."If my kid mentions any type of bullying again, we'll have a very intimate conversation." Everything stopped--amazing...

The problem I would think is also that this one notorious girl likely has some minions as well - there are so many great schools out there that I would avoid this school for sure.

OP here. This is a good sized all girls school (catholic) but this one kid's name pops up in conversation after conversation - and we're not even Catholic! Who knew a 7th grader could wield such power.

Yes and all those she is bullying are children. Who have adult parents. Why are you defending the one making so many other children miserable?

For sure no. Even if that students leaves your kids alone, she likely won’t befriend her which cuts out a whole chunk of kids for your child to be friends with. You can’t win against a kid like this and I wouldn’t bother applying.
