18 yo DS resents our family

My kids are coddled kids. They are good kids, excel at school and think that our family is sort of boring. we host quite a bit, entertain, travel internationally...but we are considered boring. They also found fault as they left for college. However, they talked to others at college and became very grateful that we are normal. Boys do this a lot more than girls.

That kind of makes sense. They want to feel strong about themselves going out into the world.
