Did you see Elvis? The movie is a bit of a mess (it’s Gatsby Baz Luhrman, not Strictly Ballroom Baz Luhrman— desperately needs an editor), but Butler is incredibly dynamic and especially nails all the performance scenes. It did not feel like an impersonation to me.

I think Butler himself is kind of full of himself and this level of success this young will make him insufferable as a person. But he’s a really charismatic person combined with real acting chops.

The Golden Globes, Oscars, and Emmys are hard to care about in an age where there are so many shows and movies coming out on all sorts of different platforms. It's just too much and too fragmented and few of us have access or even hear about all of it.

The streaming age dilutes everything. When you have so much, you have nothing and it's hard for viewers to care about awards when most haven't even heard of the shows much less watched them.
