Golden Globes

Why is that Dahmer thing nominated for so many things? Did anyone even see that? I watch a LOT of TV, and I feel like I haven't even heard of most of these shows.

This is making me more motivated to watch Watch Lotus though.

The Golden Globes are nominated by a relatively small number of international reporters who cover Hollywood. And yes a ton of people watched "Dahmer."

I loved Jenny Slate’s simple green dress.

Laverne Cox was awful doing the red carpet. She never shut up, and the celebs seemed confused by her nonstop rambling.

Yes! I usually enjoy Laverne but I had to mute it when she was on. Her rambling with Austin Butler was so painful to watch!

Brutal.

I loved it. Tell ‘em Jerrod.

I thought the opening monologue was terrible. It went 6 minutes too long.

I’ve seen Carmichael perform live and he’s great. That last night was not great.

Also, so now we know they aren’t going to allow Brendan Fraser to win since he won’t participate in the fanfare of the awards shows. How pathetic of them. Austin Butler was good in Elvis but Fraser was brilliant in The Whale.

😎

I definitely thought all these dresses were great but every woman on stage in the first hour had on a floor-length sequined column. I think Leticia Wright was the first to sport non-sparkly fabric.

Was that even Clare Danes, or just someone with her haircut?

She looks ill.

She’s pregnant with her third child.

She definitely looked like she wanted to throw up.

I found it terribly boring.

I'm not familiar with the host but he didn't seem to have a great stage presence. I'm sorry, but a host needs to be on the same level as those in the audience and frankly, I saw so many people on social media even questioning who the host was. So I'm definitely not the only one not familiar with him.

The winners also seemed so predictable.

Julia Garner was in no way better during the last season of Ozark than Niecy Nash was in Dhamer. Nash crushed it. That award should have been hers.

Brendan Fraser being snubbed for The Whale in favor of fake-ass Austin Butler is a travesty.

He looked baffled.

She was ridiculous with James Cameron and his wife as well. She made everything about herself. So weird.

Who said that? I praise them and hope David Miscavige won't send people to look through their trash. I hear he has paid $20 to look through trash...

That must have been quite an accomplishment since Cameron is notoriously, incredibly self-centered and arrogant.
