I'm not familiar with the host but he didn't seem to have a great stage presence. I'm sorry, but a host needs to be on the same level as those in the audience and frankly, I saw so many people on social media even questioning who the host was. So I'm definitely not the only one not familiar with him.

The winners also seemed so predictable.

Julia Garner was in no way better during the last season of Ozark than Niecy Nash was in Dhamer. Nash crushed it. That award should have been hers.

Brendan Fraser being snubbed for The Whale in favor of fake-ass Austin Butler is a travesty.

I don’t think that in itself matters. It could have been an opportunity for him - people would go look up his other work based on what they saw last night. But I doubt many would be compelled to do that based on last night. I actually think he’s very funny, but he wasn’t at his best last night. Also, his style is too quiet and low energy (which works in many settings) for this type of setting.

Only thing I can think of is it wasn't on Sunday because of the NFL game and it wasn't on Monday because of the college football championship game.

Laverne also didn't cover very much fashion when speaking with them. She'd sometimes say "it's Versace hunny!" and move right on. The other 2 women would then go back and give more fashion info. I thought that was bizarre.

Loni Love did a much better job but even she wasn't amazing. At least she let the others speak and didn't try to get so deep with everyone.

Yes, the Globes are typically held on a Sunday in early January. I think this year there was a conflict with the NFL schedule because the regular football season is now a week longer than it used to be, and there are now six wild card games instead of four. There used to be a week where there was no SNF game, but that wasn't the case this year.

Thank you. I like that he said something. I watched the Leah Remini documentary and Scientology is abusive and scary. Once I saw that they threatened individual IRS employees in order to get nonprofit status, I was especially horrified.

He definitely has that whole “it” factor and I see him going many places in his career.

I thought that Lisa Marie Presley looked a tad ill/tired in the face, and am shocked that she passed away yesterday from cardiac arrest!
