Harry & Meghan Part 2

Anonymous
I agree with the general consensus that Meghan didn’t do anything to deserve the hatred other than be born black. I think the fact that the Firm didn’t allow her to invite her niece to her wedding because her aunt was having a fit on social media was trashy on the Royal Family’s part. I think the fact that they did not allow Meghan to seek treatment for mental healthcare is inexcusable. They’ve laid out a pretty damning set of facts.

And let’s not fool ourselves… I can’t think of any family that is in fact trashier than the Royal family. From Charles’ string of homely mistresses to the way they treated Diana to Andrew being a pedophile… these people are the trashiest.

I was embarrassed for them. Trashing their family like this makes them guilty of the same things they are accusing the BRF of.

What a sad, pathetic group of people.

Exactly. Posts above are probably written by posers and promoters. These two are nothing more than worthless celebrity-seeking nobodies whose literally only claim to fame is their waning association with the very institution they seek to trash, and yet profit off the association. It’s craven, pathetic and transparently greedy and self-aggrandizing. Who truly cares about this pair of spoiled wanna-ba A-listers who claimed to flee publicity and yet spent all their time shamelessly seeking it in their own terms? I am embarrassed for Netflix agreeing to air what is essentially a multi-installment puff piece about their undeserved lifestyle and attempts to bring down an institution to which they owe literally everything. How American audiences cannot see this is beyond me, but in the UK they are Personae non grata for their appallingly bad form.

Yep. Just proves how stupid Americans are.

I’m also amazed at people who seek a public life and then are amazed that they cannot control the narrative. The most healthy celebrities with healthy kids are the ones who treat celebrity as a side effect of their job, don’t read their own press and don’t peddle their personal lives for press. The problem with the Sussex family is that their personal life is their celebrity and their goal. People aren’t interested in them for anything they have done. It’s like that old cocaine commercial you like cocaine so you work more, so you can make more money, so you can buy more cocaine, so you can work more, to make more money….. There is no win here.

How did Harry seek a public life? I think that what you are saying is true ish to Meghan (although ignores the obvious that literally everyone wouldn’t want their reputation destroyed).

No, no, no, see you don't understand. She deserves tens if not hundreds of sneering headlines written about her every single day, and tens of thousands of devoted hate-stalkers who write multiple posts criticizing and ridiculing her every single move in online communities, every single day. She deserves it because she is the literal worst person in the world!

Looks like they have several sources of income completely unrelated to interviews/documentaries about this.

Meghan had $5M tops going into the marriage. That is like peanuts in Hollywood circles. Everything since then is 100% due to her affiliation with the Royal family, the hand that fed her and that she had the audacity to bite, lie about, degrade and exploit for her own greedy purposes—and now wants to be seen as the moral high ground to boot! It’s disgusting.

Uppity Black women are the most hated people in the world.

Just read the coded language of Meghan’s haters.

Sickos.

Why? Also we all already knew Charles is a liar.

Have you seen the Saint Meghan Markle subreddit? The level of hatred and unhinged vitriol is genuinely alarming. I can see exactly why the Met chief stated that they had never seen anything like it before re: death threats toward the couple, etc.

1. British tabloids are the worst. Not surprised.
2. People actually believe those tabloids. A little bit surprised.
3. The monarchy is useless and should go away. No change. I’ve always had that opinion.
4. Harry and Meghan are decent people who just want to be philanthropists like Diana. Great, use your fame to raise money. No complaints here.
5. Harry should be the next Sexiest Man Alive. A handsome, bearded ginger devoted to his wife who values her health and safety above all else? Yes, please!

I’d like to add 6. Archie (and Lili, but Archie is more heavily featured) are just so adorable.

Also can we add the appeal of Harry is majorly heightened by him calling out the misogyny of blaming her for ‘Megxit’? And how good of a dad he obviously is? Swoon. You’ll never hear anything along those lines from other members of the monarchy. It’s just not how they roll.

They’re pretty rabid. And so many of their complaints are petty as hell. She didn’t know about this royal protocol! (Yeah, why would she? She’s American.) She wore an expensive designer to a charity function! (Yeah, she’s a rich philanthropist.) Calling him H is cringey! (Really? This is what we’ve come to? Laughable.)

Seriously cute kids. And Harry's actions have been completely respectable in all this, doing what he could do to protect his wife and his kids.

She mocked the curtsy to the queen , she lied on the Oprah…
They wanted privacy yet are delivering books podcasts Netflix docuseries. Thrashing the BRF but surprised they are not getting security, titles, money.
You cant have your cake and eat it too.
Who talks about their in laws to the public the whole world nonetheless.
Charles walked her down the aisle at the wedding. The queen took her on the train with her,
Harry is henpecked like no other, trashing his family . Which big brother doesnt scold his younger brother? Good ness, they are both selfish and want the biggest pity party ALL YEAR LONG.

+1 they come off like brats bc they don't acknowledge their immense privilege. They cast themselves as pure victims when there was also an immense life of luxury. Life isn't binary but they pretend it is.

I don’t always complain about the intrusion of media into my life and how much I want to shield my wife and especially children from it, but when I do, I make sure to include my non-consenting minor children in a multi-hour mocumentary/PR piece broadcast worldwide on streaming platform. That is surely the best way to protect them from unwanted attention and give them the “normal” life and “privacy” we so deeply crave.
