Harry & Meghan Part 2

No, he won’t. Because even though he doesn’t have standing in the royal family, his wife and children are alive, safe, and provided for. You think he wouldn’t have traded his title and privilege long ago if it would have saved his mother’s life? He’s already lost a mother. He owes the institution, the press, and the public absolutely nothing. And he is free to do what he needs to do to make the money that is necessary to have private security for his family. If you don’t like it, don’t watch. Think it’s trashy that he wrote a book? Don’t read it. Etc. But you won’t—you’ll continue to hate.

1. British tabloids are the worst. Not surprised.
2. People actually believe those tabloids. A little bit surprised.
3. The monarchy is useless and should go away. No change. I’ve always had that opinion.
4. Harry and Meghan are decent people who just want to be philanthropists like Diana. Great, use your fame to raise money. No complaints here.
5. Harry should be the next Sexiest Man Alive. A handsome, bearded ginger devoted to his wife who values her health and safety above all else? Yes, please!

Definitely!

And it pisses off certain people to no end.

It’s sad that their only source of income seems to be trashing their FOO.

I fully agree that the trolls and threats and hatred from the British tabloid press was too much and that the royal family should have been more outspoken against all of that racist hatred. I honestly don’t see what else Meghan and Harry could have done but either step back (which is what they offered to do) or leave (which is what they were forced to do).

All that said, I can see where Meghan can sometimes come off as forced, self-focused and calculating. But I also think she comes across at times as genuinely warm, caring, philanthropic and is clearly very much in love with her husband and is a good mom. So I can see not being a fan of her, but I don’t understand how people can hate her and focus on hating her.

New poster here. Your characterization of Meghan is exactly my read. Like, sure, she seems a bit basic, but she has done absolutely nothing to warrant the sheer volume and scale of hatred and scrutiny and bullying that she has faced, day in and day out.

Completelhy agree with this. Shes certainly comes across as terribly cheesy and twee but nothing can accont for the hatred. Im glad they put out their version of events and I for one find their story completely believable.

Indeed. What was that Meghan said about the family business coming into conflict with family? The family business is toxic. Charles, William, Kate are all dedicated to upholding the business as is. Fine. But I don’t fault Harry for recognizing the toxicity and wanting something different.

I was embarrassed for them. Trashing their family like this makes them guilty of the same things they are accusing the BRF of.

What a sad, pathetic group of people.

Looks like they have several sources of income completely unrelated to interviews/documentaries about this.

Um, when your family of origin questions the skin color of your unborn child and how people will react to it? THAT is trash behavior. When your family of origin sees completely false stories in the press and does nothing to shut them down? THAT is trash behavior. When your family sees literal death threats against your wife, and slander and trolling nonstop—much of it race-based—and you stay silent? THAT is trash behavior. And when Meghan’s father sold out for a few thousand in planted press stories and photo ops, THAT is trash behavior.

So you want to talk trash behavior? Because we can do that all day.

Exactly. Posts above are probably written by posers and promoters. These two are nothing more than worthless celebrity-seeking nobodies whose literally only claim to fame is their waning association with the very institution they seek to trash, and yet profit off the association. It’s craven, pathetic and transparently greedy and self-aggrandizing. Who truly cares about this pair of spoiled wanna-ba A-listers who claimed to flee publicity and yet spent all their time shamelessly seeking it in their own terms? I am embarrassed for Netflix agreeing to air what is essentially a multi-installment puff piece about their undeserved lifestyle and attempts to bring down an institution to which they owe literally everything. How American audiences cannot see this is beyond me, but in the UK they are Personae non grata for their appallingly bad form.

1,000%. People really hating on her and Harry as if they are the worst people on the planet. It's genuinely bizarre.

Meghan married into the royal family trying to pretend she didn't know who they are / what their values are.
She mocked the curtsy to the queen , she lied on the Oprah…
They wanted privacy yet are delivering books podcasts Netflix docuseries. Thrashing the BRF but surprised they are not getting security, titles, money.
You cant have your cake and eat it too.
Who talks about their in laws to the public the whole world nonetheless.
Charles walked her down the aisle at the wedding. The queen took her on the train with her,
Harry is henpecked like no other, trashing his family . Which big brother doesnt scold his younger brother? Good ness, they are both selfish and want the biggest pity party ALL YEAR LONG.

Meghan had $5M tops going into the marriage. That is like peanuts in Hollywood circles. Everything since then is 100% due to her affiliation with the Royal family, the hand that fed her and that she had the audacity to bite, lie about, degrade and exploit for her own greedy purposes—and now wants to be seen as the moral high ground to boot! It’s disgusting.
