PSA! Stop piling your leaves in the street at the curb for collection. It’s dangerous for cyclists!!

Better solution: get a leaf blower powered by a two-cycle, polluting, internal combustion motor that is louder than a Lear Jet, and run it all day until the leaves are in the next county. Problem solved.

You know leaves... blow in the wind, right? People can rake them to the curb all they want, and they are still going to end up in the street.

The OP is Exhibit A for why people cannot stand cyclists.

"We appreciate the area's residents placing their leaves at the curb and keeping them out of the street, which keeps the streets safe for the traveling public."

Op comes off poorly (cause cyclists) but in Montgomery County they are right. Leaves are not supposed to be on the streets but on the curb, which is the grassy part next to the street.

Its a nice idea but then someone parks there and your leaves are not picked up.

You can also just leave the leaves on your lawn (mow them with a mulching blade if you want) -- it's good for your grass.

Be best. Keep your leaves in your own damn yards and not in the street where they can cause a rider to crash. This sort of thing should be common sense, but a lot of people are too stupid to realize it.

Consider yourselves warned.

Consider myself warned? I'll make the pile bigger this week ... you're a joke.

Enjoy replacing your windshield then. We have long memories. Might have to do it a few times!

Uhhh this is literally what DPW tells people to do get rid of leaves. Consider yourself warned

This! OP you're clearly not from around here - get a clue. If you want to complain, reach out to DPW about not collecting the leaves as per the schedule they set for each neighborhood.

DPW is more than 2 weeks past the date they were supposedly supposed to pick-up the leaves in our neighborhood. In the past weeks with all the rain and wind the piles have begun to leak into the streets and sidewalks.

Smile for our neighborhood Ring cams, dash cams, and traffic cams! And then I’ll be smiling at you in court.

DP

There is almost zero chance you will be able to identify some random stranger who might live miles away from your home just because your ring camera showed them riding by on a bike and smashing your car window. Like, no chance at all. Police will absolutely not care. They’ll give you a CCN number and tell you to file an insurance claim.

Well, this thread started stupid and has not gotten any better. How about we all hang out collective heads in shame and try to not be this ridiculous ever again?
