Frumin vs. Krucoff vs. that Libertarian

Silverman manipulated the other candidates in the race with the poll to get Frumin in as the candidate which seems to indicate he is her preferred person - I think we need more people willing to put DC first ahead of talking points - case in point using DC tax dollars to pay for family medical leave for Virginia and Maryland residents when we have many DC residents in dire straits

You have it backwards. Duncan and Bergman, both progressives, wanted Elissa's endorsement. If you read the reports from the time and Silverman's OCF testimony, both had approached her about an endorsement. Who didn't approach her? Frumin. He was the hands on favorite to when because he has deep ties in the Ward, was the money leader all and ward-based contributions throughout the primary and did very well in a 9 person race. What Silverman looked at was the polling that said neither Duncan nor Bergman were viable, and she likely told them both she wasn't going to endorse them. So without Silverman's endorsement, both dropped out.

Everyone knows Goulet was the DFER/Post candidate, so if you were not aligned with that worldview, then supporting Frumin was the obvious choice.

Full disclosure: I'm going with Frumin, but the chaos monkey inside me wants to vote for the libertarian who is running opposed to something that doesn't exist. I don't respect the libertarian enough to look his name up, but I do love his campaign that presupposes a reality that doesn't exist.

I voted for the Libertarian. I am an Independent that DC keeps registering as a Democrat. Yes, I am a unicorn that frustrates many because I don’t vote party lines, I vote candidates, their backgrounds, track record and overall position across the issues that matter to most voters.

I don't know about that. The most recent filing (as of 10/31/2022) showed a total of just shy of $11k from individual District residents and just shy of $2k for individual non-District residents.

Matt's had $45k for DC residents and $5.6k for non-DC residents. So Krucoff gets a wee-bit more proportionately from non-DC residents (probably because the TERROR THAT IS BIKE LANE ON CONN AVE), but not by a ton - 15% vs. like 11% for Matt.

I am not sure how that kind of excitement makes him a remotely viable candidate. It certainly speaks to the "enthusiasm" of the anti bike lane mob.

How exactly do you "push back" on the Council? How is that working for you? Maybe if you were crazy enough to engage with the "crazy ANCs", you could actually have some influence over the odd decision here and there and wouldn't come across as so frustrated.
