Frumin vs. Krucoff vs. that Libertarian

Anonymous
In one corner, we have Matt Frumin, Democratic nominee, supporter of Connecticut Avenue bike lanes, supporter of the Foxhall School, and all-around Ward 3 Guy.

In another corner, we have David Krucoff, Republican nominee, relatively recent Republican, anti-statehood, anti-bike lane, and anti-Foxhall School. Other than platitudes, it is unclear what he is for.

In yet another corner, we have the libertarian candidate whose inkjet printed signs that lack required financial disclosures indicate that he will end the (nonexistent) mask mandates.

Who you got and why?

Full disclosure: I'm going with Frumin, but the chaos monkey inside me wants to vote for the libertarian who is running opposed to something that doesn't exist. I don't respect the libertarian enough to look his name up, but I do love his campaign that presupposes a reality that doesn't exist.

Libertarianism is all about presupposing realities that don't exist.

Frumin.

He is a genuinely nice guy, he has worked hard during this election season talking to residents at Farmers Markets every weekend, and really has nuanced understanding of the various issues.

I don't agree with him on everything, but he is respectful and willing to listen and learn.

I see Frumin riding his bike around the neighborhood all the time. Down to the earth guy, and really passionately just wants to do better for the people and communities here. Great guy.

You didn't have to say anything else after "Democratic nominee."

Didn't we learn our lesson with "let's upend things because we're upset?" after the last president? It really didn't work out well. It's ok to go with someone good enough and willing to listen to our ideas when we disagree.

This is an excellent line and I am 100% going to steal it and claim it as my own.

Which is okay, because the costs imposed upon me for doing so are near zero. If only Jeff were more invested in preserving our property rights!

OP there is no question there is not one Republican in the US worth voting for not one.

Frumin. DC is a Democratic city. Let’s keep going with what works, m’k?

Works a lot better than republicans would around here.

Lack of punctuation aside, was this meant as sarcasm? It doesn't really show any disagreement with OP.

You and Frumin are liars. Krucoff favors a different form of statehood through Maryland. Tell us about your great successes for the 51st state, it’s a phony issue to divert from Frumin’s anti-police anti-driver anti-school choice agenda.

Krukoff. And I’ve never voted Republican before. Frumin seems like a decent and knowledgeable guy. But we don’t need 13 Frumins on the Council. We desperately need some diversity of thought to prevent the progressives from turning DC into the next Portland or SF which are completely unlivable for families.

He favors retrocession which is decidedly not statehood. Putting District residents in an existing state is not granting them the autonomy of statehood under our constitutional system.
