I am an independent and just completed by mail in ballot. I looked up every candidate except for the republican. If there was an R next to their name I will not even consider them.

So the only elections that are “legitimate” are the ones won by dems. And to that end, anything that manipulates the election to favor dems, including begging other countries to interfere in the global oil market before an election and dipping into our own emergency supply of oil to keep prices down so voters won’t be angry at dems over gas prices, is perfectly fine.

“Doing something” would be more oil production and refining here in the US. Not begging the Saudis to keep prices down until the election, so dems won’t be hurt at the polls. Not putting 250,000 acres of land off limits to drilling the same week you further deplete our strategic reserves. Not having the NMFS put thousands of additional square miles of offshore oil fields on a prohibited status while groveling to China to put more of their oil on the world market. Not canceling a pipeline that gets oil from Canada down to the gulf for export on the world market, thus lowering the overall market prices. And the NEWEST refinery in this country was built when Joe Biden was still in his late 20’s - and he’s 80 now!
