If it’s not listed on the ingredient list, why would you expect park and garlic oil on the pizza? If I am getting a margarita (sp bc auto correct) I do not expect that. I would be ok but could see people being unpleasantly surprised: and ummm it it’s not common ingredients::; |
It sounds like this is something you could have thought about beforehand, OP. |
Garlic and parmesan are expected ingredients in Italian cuisine, sorry. |
Ffs, op. In that case you think “I don’t care for this establishment’s pizza and won’t return in future” not ask for another pizza for free! |
I half get this. My kids like cheese pizza. But there have been many times a plain cheese pizza didn’t come out as they like it fr various reasons: pram is on it, some other than mozz cheese blend which makes it extra greasy was used, a shaking of dried oregano, fennel in the sauce, too much sauce, not enough sauce, whatever. But I’ve never asked to have them re-made. I’ve just told me kids eat it or don’t. BP&J sandwich is their other option. |
To add, now that they are older we rarely get a pizza they won’t eat. |
100% this. You got no Parmesan but you got other things. You are the definition of a Karen. |
Just discovered Mellow Mushroom recently, that's some great pizza! I would have told the kids to have a bowl of cereal. More pizza for me! Freeze it if you can't eat it all. |
I am not the OP, garlic and parm are NOT common ingredients on a pizza. I would never send pizza back and would love it but I would be surprised to see them. I am used to East Coast pizza not the “pizza” they sell in the DMV. Again, would eat it and make kids eat cereal or frozen waffles, but OP was right to be surprised - not right to demand a new free pizza. |
Why won't your kids eat garlic or parmesan? That's kind of strange. |
Lido’s doesn’t have it standard, but any good pizza place has a standard like this, but you can order your boring pizza without. |
"fancy pizza" |
Pizza sauce has garlic in it. It's not ketchup. Parm is often part of a cheese blend on a pizza. OPs was upset about a garlic infused oil. Because of the way it smelled. But the pizza sauce has garlic in it anyway. OP is just being weird and insanely picky. I'm sure there is a terrible pizza out there made with ketchup and only plain mozzarella cheese or OP can just make that at home for her weirdly picky kids who eat pizza with garlic all the time. |
WTH? If they have a menu inside the restaurant and posted on their website, you don’t have a leg to stand on. |
I’m so sick of parents babying their kids and their taste preferences. Parmesan cheese isn’t weird at all (versus anchovies). Most kids ask for extra on their pasta. If they don’t like the pizza, they don’t need to eat it. |
