How many calories do you eat? How many do you burn?

That's a lot! What do you do during the day that you actually burn 1300 calories? Not saying I don't believe you, just curious of your daily life style.

Not the PP, but don't people burn a certain number of calories by . . . existing? Isn't that what BMR is? I don't think PP meant that she burns 1300 calories a day through activity.

I'm 49, 5'4" and 115 pounds or so, don't have any crazy exercise routine, and I maintain my weight on 2000+ calories a day. If I consistently ate 1300 calories, I would probably be close to 100 pounds which is not what I want to weigh, so I eat more.

Ahhhh yes, of course! I don't know what I was thinking when I asked that question. This makes sense. My apologies

I'm shocked by how little people eat. I'm 5'7", currently 137, which is a good weight for me but I preferred being under 130 for running fast. I run 10-20 miles per week and lift weights. I never eat less than 2000 calories a day, and my daily average is more like 2500 over the course of a week. This is to keep my weight stable. I started tracking as I'm thinking of trying to drop a bit, and I'd probably try to cut by ~250 per day for a slow and sustainable loss. It's hard because the error in counting can be that high if I'm eating foods I didn't prepare at home.
