People on this forum bleed blue so they dislike VA. Its political. |
| Yikes! This thread went in the gutter real quick. Ladies and gents, please be civilized. With all the purported wealth of the folks on this board, its surprising how little class and civility there is when discussing certain topics. |
^^^ Also, Loudoun/Fairfax booster and tax guy (maybe it’s even the same person) post multiple times on every thread, so you think it’s more people than it actually is |
It’s not about bleeding blue; it’s about their resentment that the green has moved across the river to Virginia. |
So you insult thousands of people who happen not to be the obnoxious booster to score a point? I don’t live in any of the places being discussed but I always think about the people who read these posts, who worked really hard to afford their homes in this expensive region and then have them get trashed by others. It’s mean-spritited. |
Oof sorry - “mean-spirited”. |
The whole premise of the thread is to give the same few Maryland posters a pretext to trash NoVa again. It will never satisfy them because the next day arrives and they still are confronted with where the jobs are moving and where the housing has become more expensive. |
The dirty secret is that Herndon has good schools. Shhhh. HHS has more AP classes than other FCPS HSs. |
| blah blah blah. A lot of people on this board talk about diversity in MD but oppose the diversity coming straight into their neighborhood. They are under the covers, they like to talk a lot. |
| I live in Maryland and honestly only a small subsection west and/or south of 270 is desirable, as well as pockets of HoCo. Otherwise, folks from Virginia are kind of right that Maryland feels unsafe to live in and full of traffic. Though, I suppose NoVa has its own traffic issues as well. |
Interesting, I grew up in NC and would never live in Va, when I could live in Maryland, as it was always seemingly more progressive than Virginia. |
| Virginia is a lot cleaner. Maryland is is a mess. |
NOVA at least is proactive about the traffic. They are constantly trying to expand the highways and adjust to the growing need. In MD is like a stand still. Terrible traffic. I used to live in N. Bethesda and I would lock my doors, in VA I barely think about it. I dont worry nearly as much as did in MD. Just take one look at the morning news, its contently filled with crimes from MD, in VA you obviously have crime but mostly crimes of passion NOT mostly this senseless stupid murders. |
| People live in MD mostly for social reasons, its mind boggling. |
Yep. Plus, there are more options for Herndon than just Herndon MS and Herndon HS. https://www.redfin.com/VA/Herndon/12442-Oliver-Cromwell-Dr-20171/home/9315258 |
