Hucker withdrew from the County Exec race. Filed for At Large Council

Albornoz and Friedson are the two incumbents I’m voting for. Don’t always agree with them but they are stable and consistent in their positions.

I wonder if Riemer thought the Sierra Club’s endorsement was in the bag or if he knows that the endorsement was necessary to create a pathway for him to win. The decent thing would be for Riemer to drop out and clear the field for Blair.

His twitter rant is pretty funny! Totally lacks awareness for how immature he sounds.

I suspect the Sierra Club's decision is not decisive but is an extra boost to Blair that really doesn't help Riemer.

Anyway if you are paying attention you wouldn't want any incumbent in office. They're all terrible. I don't know that new people are any better but these fools' political philosophy is rule by Twitter. Maybe Blair has a backbone, I don't know, but Riemer sure AF does not.

This is correct. Riemer will do anything for attention but doesn’t actually care about outcomes. It’s actually quite disturbing when it comes down to real issues. Local politics have a much more direct impact on the quality of peoples lives. We cannot afford to have people like that in local government. If he’s intent on staying in politics, his preening incompetence is more appropriate for the Assembly. I wouldn’t suggest Congress because he’s not competent enough (or maybe he’s just doesn’t care enough) to have effective constituent service.

Agreed. It really displays a lack of leadership to behave that way and makes it very clear that he should be nowhere near levers of power.

I just got my second push poll paid for by Reimer and it just makes me like him less. How dumb do you think people are when you only ask negative questions about Elrich and Blair (with no option to say you actually think the statement is positive) and positive questions about Reimer? Especially when some of the positive claims are actually things someone else did. 🙄

I received the same exact push poll with the same exact false claims.

Riemer has gotten so much nastier in recent weeks. I guess when you can’t highlight your own achievements you just spend your time attacking everyone else.

Everything about Riemer reeks of entitlement. It is probably why he’s getting so nasty lately, he’s not used to not getting what he wants and it makes him angry. I just cannot stand him and it’s weird because I normally don’t have strong opinions about local politicians.

His latest tweet about Blair is so pathetic.

"is he a republican? Oh i dont know but Republicans sure like him!"

I mean good lord man. Has the maturity of like a 7 year old.

Riemer is a case study in why it’s a bad idea to live in an echo chamber.

Somewhat related, it’s also a good example of why people shouldn’t spend too much time on Twitter.

His other Tweet about NoVa having cheaper housing than MoCo and that’s the reason Fairfax is surging with business development is just completely bonkers. First, it’s obviously wrong. Second, it’s just further fuels the debate about him whether he’s a liar, dumb or both. He has a serious problem of just saying whatever he thinks is clever at the moment whether it’s true or not and regardless whether he believes it.

Riemer lies constantly, but he’s also dumb in assuming that voters are misinformed and disengaged. It’s too bad he’s going to spoil this race for Blair.

That’s the thing isn’t it. He’s so dumb that he thinks that everyone is dumber than he is and cannot see his lies.

I don’t know, a lot of the progressives in this neighborhood have seemingly fallen for his schtick. Although they strike me as types that would never vote for Blair, the “former republican.”
