I hope you are right although I don’t consider hucker to be moderate at all.

There's noting moderate about Riemer, either. Riemer will pull just enough votes from Blair to ensure an Elrich win.

So you think if it were just Riemer and Elrich, Riemer would win? He just seems so incompetent.

To me Elrich and Riemer are much more progressive. People who like Blair wouldn’t vote for Riemer.

And I guess we will keep the incumbents in the at large race

Jawando
Albornoz
Glass
Hucker

Ugh

No way. Riemer is the worst - clueless, sold us out to developers and the Purple Line, which will raise our taxes. There is no history of successful light rail in this county.

Now there is Mr. James - pjames.us - with some great ideas, and a Black engineer / business owner running as a Republican.

False. I’m torn between Blair and Riemer. I like that Riemer has kids in mcps. I like that Blair has youngish kids. Both will want to keep schools open and -hopefully- would never force mask kids again. I like that Riemer focuses on affordable housing solutions. I like that Blair is an experienced businessman with strong leadership skills. This county lacks leadership. Lots of talking in circles and patting each other on backs without actually powering through problems, making hard decisions, and communicating with the people.

I am glad to hear that Al Carr has entered the race for District 4.

It would be awesome to see a Republican take the county exec seat!

Riemer claims to focus on affordable housing, but he's been the council's leader on land use and housing for 12 years. During those 12 years, housing production has slowed down, prices have gone up, and developers' profits have skyrocketed. What Riemer says and what he does are two entirely different things.

^^ please read the above (don't know who you are, but I agree 100%).

Additionally, look at the national rankings for MCPS. What once was a strong school system (under Weast, who people love to hate), has gone downhill ever since. Bad Superintendents? Not enough funding by the Council? Mismanagement at MCPs? No oversight from from Council? Who knows exactly, and probably a little bit of all of that and more, but the results have been and will continue to be a disaster for MoCo.

Reimer is a disaster. Has helped the county go from bad to worse during his tenure. I don't really like any of those running, but to me, Blair seems the least bad.

I will vote for Sully if Blair doesn't win the primary. And I haven't voted for a Republican in over 20 years. But he's not a Ficker. He's actually sane.

Riemer is super progressive, so it seems to me he will pull votes from Elrich

Why? He just wants more money?

He wants to work in Rockville instead of Annapolis?

If he knew what kind of cluster $&@) Council is, on the inside, he’d reconsider!

I’m in his district and I think he’s been a great delegate. Hopefully if he wins he can be a positive influence.

The Purple Line was planned before Riemer was born, not sure why you’re blaming it on him.

As just one of 11? Good luck with that.

Why? I'm kindof irritated he entered the race that had the most viable women candidates. We need more women in our local government!

Who was favored to win this?
