They were using US citizens with prior experience to run background spy rings. Insane.
TAHERZADEH “recruited” Witness 1 to serve as an employee of HSI. According to Witness 1, because he/she believed that TAHERZADEH was an employee of HSI, he/she agreed to pursue DHS/HSI employment through him. TAHERZADEH represented that he had started the process of hiring Witness 1 as an employee of DHS/HSI and that he also had authority to deputize individuals as employees of DHS/HSI. 22. As part of the “HSI recruiting process,” TAHERZADEH tasked Witness 1 to conduct research into an individual who worked for the United States government as a contractor. Specifically, this individual provided support to the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. |
So bizarre. The government, particularly the Secret Service, quite famously pays rent in the properties it occupies. |
There's a lot that makes zero sense. I can't imagine any DC luxury apartment complex allowing the government to occupy numerous units with no reimbursement. Also, these guys claimed to work for DHS but provided .us email addresses which are not used. The secret service and DHS people involved with these two guys would know that. |
| As a big fan of the Detour I’m just happy for the USPIS to have a chance to shine . |
are people here actually trying to say this was orchestrated by Trump?? |
It was. |
| Secret service is totally clown show. It is well known to be a joke. |
Provide details please |
"Government" doesn't get free rooms. Even when getting a hotel room our agency has us book them via Concur or Fedrooms and it has to go through an approval process with management and funding officer etc. |
These guys were operating their scam in this apartment building during the Trump administration. Many members of the Trump admin lived in the Navy Yard, it was widely known. These big anonymous apartment buildings with thin walls are great places to spy on residents. |
Honestly, if anyone needs a win right now, it's the USPS. Good for them. They can't get my mail across town in under 5 days, but they can take down an extensive spy ring that has fooled the rest of the USG. Go USPIS! |
They've managed to keep Presidents from being assassinated by nuts and terrorists for the past 50 years. (And the Haitian president was assassinated just six months ago - so don't tell me its not a concern) That counts for something in my book - I will always be grateful for them to keeping the Obama family out of harm's way. However the men on their assignments constantly being caught with prostitutes and bribes is not a good look. |
You might want to relook at the success rate of protecting the president. Remember John Hinckley Jr.? He was not some mastermind terrorists. He just walked up and shot the president. You think the secret service would be able to handle that? What about the guy with a knife who jumped the fence at the WH and made it into the residence before being noticed. How about the guy who pulled out a gun and shot up the WH? There are many more examples of just being lucky vs professional protection. The agency is a total cf. If a terrorist organization or state sponsored actors came after the president the secret service has shown no ability to protect the president. The only reason the president has not been assassinated is luck and the likely retaliation from the US not because of the competency of the secret service. Hell Biden insisted on replacing agents because he was told they were security risk before he took office. |
Does the word assassinated mean something different in your world? |
I’m OP, I also posted that, posted that and no, I didn’t post it because I think this was orchestrated by Trump. I do think there are a lot of deluded MAGAs in law enforcement and the military, included the USSS. Enough that the Biden family didn’t feel comfortable with the detail they were assigned. I think this particular clusterf*ck is probably due to a foreign government, but as we all have seen, Trump will stop at nothing to get back in the White House. |
