I’m aware that there have been problems there in the past but this is a crazy story. FBI raided The Crossing apartment building near the Wharf today looking for evidence involving a scheme by two men pretending to be DHS agents and giving USSS agents pricy gifts. Who? Why? Where is the money coming from? And yikes.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors on Wednesday charged two men they say were posing as federal agents, giving free apartments and other gifts to U.S. Secret Service agents, including one who worked on the first lady’s security detail. The two men — Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 36 — were taken into custody as more than a dozen FBI agents charged into a luxury apartment building in Southeast Washington on Wednesday evening. Prosecutors allege Taherzadeh and Ali had falsely claimed to work for the Department of Homeland Security and work on a special task force investigating gang and violence connected to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. They allege the two posed as law enforcement officers to integrate with actual federal agents. They lied to officers with the US Postal Inspection Service, who were there asking questions about a totally different crime, saying they were with the US Special Police, which doesn’t actually exist except as the name of a shady company they started. 🍌🍌🍌

You’re right. Someone said they’re Iranians who assualted a U.S. Postal Inspector which tipped off the feds. They even set up fake companies to act as federal agents. Insane.

If you don't think Iranian spies being able to find and locate Secret Service agents on the president's detail, infiltrate their circle, and bribe them with material goods has something to do with that - I have a bridge to sell you. |

You really think this started under the Biden administration? There were a lot of questions about the secret service under trump. This seems to have gone on for a while and the secret service officers were not rejecting the gifts. The secret service was not involved in the arrest even though they can make arrests. Wonder how many secret service agents are involved? |
