Yes I thought she had been branded or something.

Her ex boyfriend did it though. He got a hot knife from HOBBY LOBBY.

She was in her early 30s when she faked her disappearance. I remember that one of the cops/investigators remarked that she was a bit, ah, long in the tooth to be a human trafficking victim. He didn’t phrase it like that, but he did say that her age made the case extremely odd.

I think husband and cops knew all along. It probably took them some time to get all the evidence they needed. I’ll bet they were watching her for a long time. Maybe she’s up to other things, too, and they wanted to take their time to watch her.

The most recent I saw it said her husband was still with her and sticking by her.

Racism, I think. There’s a thread on here from 2016 when it first happened (thread is locked now) but the OP found some of her old blog posts talking about how she basically feels a connection with ‘skinheads’ and is proud of being white. She also had a post claiming to have “stood up to latinas” and not being afraid of them or something like that. I’m guessing her motivation was pure racial hatred. What a disgusting creature.

She is a racist.

Fed investigations move much more slowly. Six years seems a bit excessive, but I’m sure the pandemic slowed it down.

The thread on here about it from 2016, one of the posters on the first page…they were SPOT ON. Their theory literally nailed it to a T! They even mentioned how she probably had her ex lover waiting in the wings and sure enough, she did!

I believe Elizabeth Holmes was busted on DCUM within the 1st page or two as well. Ironic.

I was curious, did a search. It was actually page 4, back in 2014. The Hilaria Bladwin fake heritage thing generated a lot of outside interest here too.

Fake pearls on your wedding day are tacky.

She was recovering from getting breast implants and probably couldn't do much (lifting kids etc). Supposedly it was the first day she’d gone back to regular exercise.
I’m just speculating about the daycare and no hate for getting implants (I have them too) but thought it was interesting timing right before her “abduction”

Hahaha the last comment on the page is hilarious now in hindsight. I hope the two who called it are having a glass or two and doing a chef’s kiss for that one

What's up with the ex boyfriend though? What's the story with his complicity?

Thanks for bringing race - unprompted and in a way that makes no sense - into this!

The construction of race is material in this case. If I, a black woman, were to claim that two white women had kidnapped me, I would probably be committed to an insane asylum. In this country women of color tend to be cast as kidnappers and white women as potential victims. We are assumed to be likely deviants and they are objects of desire whose innocence (Susan Green, anyone?) is presumed. What possible motive could two Hispanic women have for such a kidnapping?

Really? Like the Duke Lacrosse case?
If as a small woman, 6 ft 200 lb guys are threatening to shove a broomstick up you, fear might make you leave even if said guys had you drink. If having a dui then threatens to have your kids taken away and getting raped by broomstick was in your brain, you might lie to keep your kids. While what Crystal did was wrong, it seemed fear-based, not bigotry based.
