Because he divorced his wife & married someone else?

Uh, it's not just that. It's the context of how that happened.

-Tells long time wife that he doesn't want kids. She "wastes" her fertility on him
-Substance abuse addict
-Difficult personality
-Difficult career filled with long periods of time apart, lots of travel
-Lots of cheating rumors surrounding him
-Leaves rehab and immediately impregnates another celebrity while still married
-Finally divorces his long-suffering wife while moving in with his baby mama
-Parades around in the media like he's Father of the Year

Vast majority of women who are cognizant of his history are disgusted by Mulaney. I mean, he's pretty pathetic - it's similar to the middle-aged guy who dumps his loyal wife for his younger secretary,

It's what they don't see that's the issue. No one knows the actual dynamic between John Mulaney and Anna/e Marie Tendler. I say this as someone who struggled for years about whether or not to leave my DH. When I shared my private struggle with a few close friends and my therapist, the question that I was asked... "how did you make it that long?"

The only facts that we know are that 1) John Mulaney is an addict, 2) he was in recovery, 3) he divorced his seemingly patient and loving wife, 4) he had a kid with a GF, 5) he is touring again.

No one knows WHY he did (or is doing) any of that.

It is unfair to judge John I understand.

However he moved on with Olivia Munn super fast.
It’s like we found out they were dating, then she was already sporting a baby bump.
And now, John + her have a son together.

John is an average comic.
Both in looks as well as timing.

Pete is a cutie and definitely is a better comic.
He pushes the envelope and is not afraid of getting canceled.
He marches to the beat of his own drum and is the epitome of cool.

I don't know who this guy is so have no judgment either way but I'm curious about the bolded. Did she waste her fertility because he pretended he wanted kids and then told her much later he, like recently before they broke up, that he changed his mind?

Anonymous wrote:I normally really enjoy Mulaney's standup but I found last night's episode very so-so. Some funny moments but nothing that really stood out. A lot of it felt like a rehash of stuff he's done before, but less funny. And I really dislike when they go hard on the "lots of celebrity cameos" stuff like they did with the 5-timers club. It's cheap and not actually entertaining. Like "Conan O'Brien walks in" is not actually a joke and is only funny if you are the sort of simpleton who is really entertained by "Oh my gosh that's Conan O'Brien! Haha he's said funny things in the past so I'll laugh reflexively now!" Like it's cheap and boring.

Even his monologue was a lot of rehashing of jokes he's told recently on other TV appearances.

My favorite SNL moment of this season is when Peyton Manning did that "Emily in Paris" thing on Update. That was hilarious. Otherwise it's been pretty mediocre.

Wooah. Are you me? Agree w/ everything you said.

I just bought Mulaney stand up tix. Hope I don’t regret going bc I’ll have seen it all before on late night TV!

My friends and I saw Mulaney at city winery in nyc last year. He told some of the same stories/jokes in his SNL monologue, but just brief snippets. FWIW, it was a really great stand up performance and was quite long - my guess is that you won’t regret going (and I’m not exactly a Mulaney super fan).

The subway churros skit cracked me up. I take the F train to work, and almost every day I mutter to myself about getting effed by the f train. And you never know what the train it’ll be - the E or the N/R might show up, too - and you never know where the heck it will stop next. And it’s been wild on the trains recently with the cold weather - a few weeks ago a man who had been sleeping on the train popped up and suddenly started screaming at everyone that he needed water, and a woman on the train screamed back at him to quit it “because there’s children here!” (there were no kids in the car, but it didn’t seem prudent to point that out). Then she started beating him with her giant golf umbrella until he ran out of the car. We all just sat there. My friend calls the F train “the hobo express” since the seats are long benches that are convenient for sleeping, so there will often be at least one person stretched out sleeping in each car when it’s cold out. Anyway, I was laughing out loud at that skit! I assume they were picking on the F train because it stops at Rockefeller Center, so many of the cast/crew may have to take it to work. (Though I have never seen churros for sale on the F train platform; only the 7).

I wonder what people in non-NYC or non-East coast areas think of this show since it’s so NYC focused. That’s a bit of what I love about it, and it’s also sometimes annoying. New Yorkers sometimes think the world revolves around New York.

Sometimes is the only wrong word in this statement.

-someone raised in NY by life long NYers

Haha! I was trying to be nice. 😜

He told her he didn't want kids. She was OK with that bc she loved him. But plot twist they break up. A man is not a plan. This is why people need to choose their choices

She addresses it a little bit in this article https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/features/a38727685/anna-marie-tendler-profile/

It sounds like they both agreed to prioritize their relationship, but now that she doesn’t have the relationship she’s interested in the possibility of kids.

Wow, this is a real knee slapper. I can't wait to tune in next Saturday at 11:30 pm for more of these HILARIOUS skits. lol! lol!

I thought he rushed his monologue. Too nervous for the jokes to land properly. I used to think he was funny but now realize he’a a guy at a party funny. Not a National comedian with a series funny.

Very obvious hair transplant at the top of his forehead. Yikes.

Nice try OP for attempting to start a rumor.
Lol.

I bet Kanye West was hoping that you were right!

Your response would be right but the actual name of Pete Davidson is part of this forum’s title so all is fair game.
