Northwestern kids are much more down to earth and nice than Duke kids. Both schools have a good share of rich kids but Duke undergraduates really have an air of entitlement and it doesn’t feel as welcoming. They don’t have a sports culture except for basketball. Northwestern isn’t great at sports but has the Big 10 sports culture in football, basketball and other sports. Both areas are great but of course Chicago offers big city attractions and the lake is beautiful.
