Sound familiar? Ringing any bells?

San Francisco is probably the most far left, pro-Democratic Party city on this planet, and the recalled who again?

Oh right - their Board of Education!

The incumbents will win by landslide just like every other year going to show that DCUM posters are just way out of touch with the mainstream or that there are a. lot of lobbyist here trying to sway public opinion.

I’m not sure about that. I’m a teacher and know many who are only voting for newcomers. Never before have I ever taken a stand, but this year has not been normal. The BOE has only stood for McKnight and central office this year and has shown indifference to all teacher issues.

Is that before or after the Maryland IG tries to figure out why they spent federal covid money on Bocce ball ($795,800), Equity/Anti-Racist training ($4,289,061), and on Kid Museum ($2.1M)?

I'm a teacher too and everyone I know votes Apple ballot just like every other election. The newcomers are in general far-out right-wingnuts anyway who despise public education.

You can't blame them though. Look at the mess MCPS is in...look at how public schools are failing students. There is a reason why those with means are fleeing.

DP here. Anyone who votes based on the apple ballot is either clueless/not paying attention or is happy with the status quo. Why someone would be happy with the way things are beats me.

On the contrary. I'm supporting education and teacher safety. Something that I would think a real teacher cares about?

This is the danger of being able to vote for another District's BoE candidates. Mob Rule, not representation, is happening.

McKnight and the BoE seems to have support from special-interest groups, so as long as they cater only to them, the rest of Montgomery County residents are left out. My guess is that this is why they are so arrogant and believe they cannot lose the election.

Brenda Wolff is unopposed, again. I'd say she has very good reason to believe she cannot lose the election.

But he worked for Democrats for Education Reform. Doesn’t sound like a right-wing nut job to me…
