This!!! Also, the Marvelous Mrs Maisel. There’s some profanity but nothing I’d call gratuitous. |

Ted Lasso has a lot of swearing and some sex. |
You can watch almost any Kdrama and satisfy your criteria. They are pretty wholesome and usually romance with humor. I recommend any with Lee Min Ho. |
OP here: I'm not limiting myself to highbrow stuff a la PBS, so I'm open to lighter shows. However, too much of the wit in Ted Lasso and VEEP relies on extreme or very frequent profanity, which is a shame because the characters are interesting and the language adds unnecessary coarseness. |
| Schitt’s Creek- minimal language and sex, no violence, and it’s very funny/witty |

Frankie Drake
Murdoch's Mysteries |
You sound precious. Anyway, try Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. |
| Last Tango in Halifax on Netflix |
Loved loved Ted Lasso - warm and very funny |
| Succession is pretty light on sex and little violence. But tons of profanity. |

The Good Place (wonderful exploration of philosophy and theology in funny way)
Schitt Creek (Canadian) Ted Lasso (US British collab/ character driven and not gratuitous sex and cussing) Grace & Frankie (brilliant exploration of senior love and friendship after divorce) Kim and Kath (Australian) Arrested Development (first few seasons - became insanely melodramatic) |
