You will love it. (Captioned in English)

This!!!

Also, the Marvelous Mrs Maisel. There’s some profanity but nothing I’d call gratuitous.

Please help me find some that are have minimal sex, gore, gratuitous profanity.

Liked:

Period pieces: Downtown Abbey, The Paradise, Mr. Selfridge, Poldark, Call the Midwife, The Crown, All Creatures Great and Small, Line of Separation

K-Dramas: Crash Landing on You, Descendents of the Sun, This is my First Life, Chocolate, Something in the Rain, One Spring Night

Sci-Fi: Lost in Space. Away, Stowaway(movie)

Soapy Dramas: A Place Like Home

Found hard to take:

Ted Lasso, VEEP (funny but so profane)
The Americans, A French Village (fascinating plot lines but too much sex and violence)
The Irishman (movie, but so violent)

Any suggestions that meet my criteria would be appreciated!

TIA

Just curious why cursing is a problem? Are you super religious?

Or swearing? Was interest to see that on the No list.

Different poster: it’s not a quality show. It appears she likes not a lot of sex and violence but still quality.

Ted Lasso has a lot of swearing and some sex.

You can watch almost any Kdrama and satisfy your criteria. They are pretty wholesome and usually romance with humor.

I recommend any with Lee Min Ho.

OP here: I'm not limiting myself to highbrow stuff a la PBS, so I'm open to lighter shows. However, too much of the wit in Ted Lasso and VEEP relies on extreme or very frequent profanity, which is a shame because the characters are interesting and the language adds unnecessary coarseness.

Schitt’s Creek- minimal language and sex, no violence, and it’s very funny/witty

You sound precious.

Anyway, try Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.

Succession is pretty light on sex and little violence. But tons of profanity.

The Good Place (wonderful exploration of philosophy and theology in funny way)
Schitt Creek (Canadian)
Ted Lasso (US British collab/ character driven and not gratuitous sex and cussing)
Grace & Frankie (brilliant exploration of senior love and friendship after divorce)
Kim and Kath (Australian)
Arrested Development (first few seasons - became insanely melodramatic)
