Montgomery County Council -- at large?

I like Dawn. But I’m voting for Jacqueline Manger. We need some folks on Council who have sane views of what good policing should look like.

If you're looking to vote for people outside that area, Laurie-Ann Sayles is from Gaithersburg and Kellerman is from Poolesville, although I can't find much about her beyond that. Brandy Brooks is from Wheaton so kind of technically Silver Spring but not downtown.

If people want to vote for “justice” vote for the person from Poolesville. They have suffered severe divestment from the county and recently compiled a report documenting the lack of equality in the public investment they have received. They are so desperate that they have begged the county to build just one building that would include their new high school, public library, police and fire department. Can you imagine.

No, please just no. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and they have squeaked the loudest and longest.

I think I’m going to vote only for at-large candidates that live up-county. Things have got to change. Although I do like Albornoz personally.

Jawando lives in Ashton.

I don’t think that anyone who ran for the council living in Ashton with two kids in private school would be electable in this county. He now has the power of incumbency behind him but if that’s what his situation last time around he wouldn’t be on the council.

I wonder if carpet bagging TPSS to get elected is going to be a new thing now.

And he not only put his kids into private school, he filed a lawsuit claiming discrimination when his child didn't get into the lottery for the immersion school he wanted.

I will vote for anyone BUT Jawando.

This actually proves the opposite. Because Poolesville has literally gotten nothing for decades. How sad that you think all of our communities in this county don’t deserve the same quality of public services that you enjoy.

Same. Although I'm not really happy with any of the Silver Spring/Takoma Park folks right now. The Upcounty Community Services Center, which is a County entity, held a public safety forum last week, and not one of the at-large councilmembers were there. No candidates for at-large seats, either. Germantown is falling apart in terms of violence, similar to downtown Silver Spring. But the at-large members only care about Silver Spring.

At-large needs to mean the ENTIRE county.
