So it’s the parents fault for getting their kids vaccinated and then ultimately getting Covid? Let’s just take a reality break here. It’s not the parents fault that the school board votes to close the schools ever. |
They don't have the time to plan but in person and virtual at the same time all in advanced. You are completely clueless. Since you can do better, why don't you become a teacher. |
When parents are choosing to travel, dine out, socialize and do unnecessary things right now, yes, I do think so. |
| Yeah heaven forbid people live their lives after they were told if they got vaccinated they were doing their part and couldn’t get Covid. |
I guess anyone foolish enough to put 100% faith in a new vaccine got what they deserved... just like people say about the unvaccinated. Of course you could get covid. There were two things we were being told... get vaccinated, live your life or these are good at reducing symptoms but you can still get covid. If you choose to get vaccinated and live your life without precautions, you are to blame for the surge. |
Actually, the president of United States said in a press conference multiple times if you get the vaccine you won’t get Covid. You are an idiot. You’re not going to gaslight me or anyone else who did what they were supposed to do. If you want to live your life and a whole go ahead the rest of us are going to live with this virus because it’s going to be around for the rest of our lives. Enjoy living in your bunker. |
In a hole |
Conditions changed. We had a glorious couple months at the end of the last school year when the vaxxes were truly awesome! Now they're just really good given the current conditions. |
| Teachers need to prepare digital lessons, which takes time. It’s a big transition to make and really tough on teachers. I don’t get met at them for needing some time to prepare. I do get mad at the people (teachers and parents alike) who want schools to shut down, but then go out to eat, go to the movies, and hang out with friends and family unmasked and in large groups. |
This is unfortunately what happens when the government is inept in some, but not all, things. People then have to determine individually and for themselves what was correct and what was fiction. Initially, the vaccines were crazy effective against any kind of infection. The FDA and CDC shifted from conservative mitigation to victory mode without all the data in. The President and local governments “followed that science.” In July, it became clear from Israeli data that efficacy against infection wanes, especially vs delta. Breakthrough infections were becoming common, but the FDA and CDC said they were rare, basing their analysis on data whose collection ended in April—months behind the times. Pfizer announced intention to get FDA EUA for a booster shot, and the FDA immediately released a statement that boosters weren’t necessary. A few weeks later, they approved boosters after finding that breakthrough infections were actually not super rare. Did the CDC then adjust quarantine guidance for exposure of the vaccinated, since protection was weaker? No, and they still haven’t, even with virtually no protection against omicron infection. These agencies have released counterfactual statements and gone back on their declarations without acknowledging mistakes. They lost credibility. Now we pay the consequences because their lack of trustworthiness is obvious. It opens the door for people to say the vaccines are not health or never worked or that the virus is fake. This is what happens when you don’t have a leg to stand on |
You know it’s not good enough for this irrational person who thinks everyone should cater to them 24/7. |
| I thought everyone, including students, was supposed to leave school in December with everything they needed for transition to virtual? |
They did leave with everything they needed, but the teachers, but contract, get 1 WORKING DAY to plan that transition. They haven't had that working day. Can you read? |
Parents are responsible when they are making choices that put their kids and all of us at risk. The school board got slammed for closing last year. So, they remain open and now it’s a hot mess. Anyone who kept up with the vaccines knew that they were to reduce symptoms bit to stop Covid. Do your part or don’t complain. |
Gosh you are really dense. We had our children vaccinated we were told by our president that if we got vaccinated we wouldn’t get Covid. The children lost 18 months of instruction last year. The children have sacrificed enough. If you’re scared to go outside of your house just stay inside. We’re done sacrificing the education of our children for grown adults. |
