| Two Rivers will be virtual until January 10th. |
ITDS parent here also. I agree that a PCR is much preferred but I will say that it's really difficult right now. I waited in line with my kids for 2 hours last week ay Curative, with an appointment, and assuming things are the same its sadly not feasible. I wish it was and I imagine soon enough demand will go back to normal. Per quarantine protocols, is ITDS going to follow the new CDC guidelines? Maybe I missed something over the holiday craziness! |
Yes, they are following the CDC guideline generally. They haven't said what the plan is for next week. They have for this week and are taking it step by step. There have been two e-mails about COVID from ITDS leadership since break started. If you haven't read two e-mail, you might be behind. |
I have seen those...I don't have a PS/PKer so I think I glossed over the changes there! I know the CDC just changed quarantine time from 10 days to 5 so I wondered if I missed something there. I am guessing schools will stick with 10 but it will be interesting to see. Happy New Year and stay well! |
They’ve extended the no quarantine for all vaccinated students now that more younger kids have been vaccinated. I knew it would be coming but it was encouraging to see it official so my vaccinated elem student can keep going to school (assuming staffing levels don’t take a hit if and when it spread among staff) |
| Stokes just announced they are going virtual for 2 weeks. Happy 2022…here we go again. 😤 |
| Really something like this will continue to happen every winter until vaccine rate improve globally. Maybe a shorter official break followed by a testing and partly virtual week would be more reasonable to plan on next year. We probably have a couple.more years of winter variant covid spikes before global vaccine rates get high enough. |
