I honestly wish ITDS was requiring PCR tests. they host Curative on Mondays which would allow PCR results in time. We'll do PCR but know so many will do rapid which just doesn't provide the same amount of assurance for us. But, super glad that they've changed their quarantine protocols!!
ITDS parent here also. I agree that a PCR is much preferred but I will say that it's really difficult right now. I waited in line with my kids for 2 hours last week ay Curative, with an appointment, and assuming things are the same its sadly not feasible. I wish it was and I imagine soon enough demand will go back to normal. Per quarantine protocols, is ITDS going to follow the new CDC guidelines? Maybe I missed something over the holiday craziness!
Yes, they are following the CDC guideline generally. They haven't said what the plan is for next week. They have for this week and are taking it step by step. There have been two e-mails about COVID from ITDS leadership since break started. If you haven't read two e-mail, you might be behind.
I have seen those...I don't have a PS/PKer so I think I glossed over the changes there! I know the CDC just changed quarantine time from 10 days to 5 so I wondered if I missed something there. I am guessing schools will stick with 10 but it will be interesting to see. Happy New Year and stay well!
