Do women pick spouses similar to their fathers and men similar to their mothers?

Not for me. My mother was a stay at home for the majority of my childhood and while it was nice having her always around after school and other activities, she was pretty miserable/depressed after we all grew up.
I knew before I went off to college that I did not want a spouse that depended on me for EVERYTHING or just sat at home depressed or sulking all day. My wife is the complete opposite of that. |
