NNAT: 107 (not in pool last year during virtual, so didn't bother to apply)

Cogoat:

Composite: 137
Non Verbal: 119
Quantitative: 137
Verbal: 139

Currently excelling in Advanced Math, very driven and kind to others, so I anticipate strong GBRS. Thoughts on getting in based on the lower NNAT and nonverbal scores?

They all but ignore NNAT. They prioritize quant over NV, though NV over verbal.

In the pool of Madison Pyramid with similar scores - lowest scores on nonverbal

NNAT: 123

Cogoat:

Composite: 142
Non Verbal: 123
Quantitative: 138
Verbal: 148

Are these scores of 2nd grade students. My 3rd grader got 132 in cogat. Is there a different cutoff score for a third grader. His age score is 9.

Any idea that how are they assessed for AAP?

Cogat 112 with a 120 verbal.
121 wish with a 139 verbal.

Our testing uncovered some big gaps in processing speed and working memory. They are recommending more testing to rule out learning disabilities.

Interesting. This is the first example I've seen of someone in-pool with a score under 135.

Part of the reason they give these tests is to look for kids with gaps and LDs, so it is doing it’s job. It is better to find these things now when there is more time to work on understanding how to help your child.

- signed a PhD with LDs and ADHD.

Got response from AART. The new FCPS policy allows a different standard on a school by school basis and AART maintains each school's inpool cutoff was set by central office and local school not privy to the cutoff.

For real.

Well they can figure it out because they’ll know who is in-pool.
