| Games start tomorrow, good luck to everyone! |
Can't for all the Karens/Kens coming out Sunday night on this board. |
| Muldoon’s here we come!!!! |
I am the Muldoon’s fan who posted earlier, and I’m going to assume you are sincere, because it makes me happier to do so. If anyone is interested in a meal in Poolesville, we have always loved this place: https://www.poolesvillemexicangrill.com/contact-us They make clear that you need to be patient if you order from there, and that is very true. |
I’ve been to muldoons once for a league game, which was cancelled after we got there due to the referee deciding the fields were unplayable. So muldoons doesn’t have a good place in my heart and, oh yeah, I also got nailed by a speed camera on my way there as I entered poolsville. Be careful. Use Waze. Good luck |
| If youre going to Muldoons, you are a young age group. Gotta put in your time before you get to play on the good fields. |
That's not a good take. This is supposed to be a premier tournament that charges premium entry fees. Bethesda needs to do better! Your response makes sense for the Bethesda rec league. |
Bethesda doesn't have a rec league. |
Then it doesn't make sense at all. |
Yes it does. The little kids will play on grass and the older kids play on turf. Although some of the turf is still not good, even in VA. |
Just saying, my little kids are playing in rec all stars this weekend on really nice turf fields for a pittance of a fee. |
| Think I'd give you all the same guidance I give my kids when they complain about grass, "This is a luxury in 90% of the world. Shut up and play." |
Just sayin. This is NOT a flex. lol. |
If teams weren't coming from as far away as Florida and paying a premium fee, you may have a point. Again, if it was some rec game, just play. For a tournament like this, it's a disgrace. Just talking to someone coming from PA and they are pissed. Bethesda promised turf for them to come back to this tournament and Bethesda pulled this crap. They won't be back. Burnt that bridge with that club. |
Easily replaced with one of the other 2,000 teams from the Mid-Atlantic. There's really no need for kids U15 and below to travel over 100 miles for competition. We have tens of thousands of soccer kids in the DMV area and can find a few dozen superstars among them to compete against one another. Don't like the Bethesda tournament? Go to Richmond or the Capital Cup, which are the same weekend. In the end, all first world problems. |
