+1 agree.. I stated up thread... VA drivers are very aggressive; MD drivers seem unsure of themselves, and that leads to them being too cautious and/or causing an accident. Of course, there are people who speed everywhere, but generally, MD drivers aren't that aggressive. I'm originally from out west. |
shrug.. that's what the statistics from the insurance companies show. Those numbers look at where the drivers are from. |
your tone supports the statement that VA people are more aggressive and discourteous. |
| I've lived in all three places. I can confidently tell you that everyone here in the DMV sucks at driving but thinks that their own shi don't stink. |
We have a winner! |
Pssst - when you hear DCUM say “Maryland drivers”, what they really mean are black drivers. I’ve seen this firsthand numerous times during carpool. |
This just isn’t true at all. I grew up near the Chevy chase DC border and my friends and I constantly complained about the almost all white MD drivers being ridiculous when we tried to cross streets etc |
Your carpool friends are racist, but Maryland drivers of all backgrounds are in another league of awful. -woc |

This. The very worst are blond women drivers in large SUVs. |
This is my experience and that of my daughter’s |
I thought they meant Asian |

Where I am in western Fairfax, the extreme tailgaters (which happens in any and all lanes) are always VA drivers but the ones going 30 mph over the speed limit and cutting everyone off usually have MD plates.
Drivers with DC plates are generally courteous and follow the flow of traffic until traffic gets heavy and then they just go where they need to go regardless of road lines or rules. I prefer the DC drivers, honestly. At least they're nice about it. |
LOL!! |
