Maryland morons driving

Look Marylanders, if there are dual turning left lanes onto a 3 lane road, the inside left turning lane must turn into the furthest left lane on the 3 lane road unless dotted lines indicate otherwise. The outside turning lane is allowed to turn into the middle or outside lanes on the 3 lane road. I can't tell you the number of times I've nearly gotten into accidents or been run off the road by moronic Marylanders who are in the inside turning lanes of a dual left turning lane who decide to turn into the middle and even into the right most lane on the 3 lane road. Learn how to drive you MD clowns.

I'm curious how and why MDers got the rap for being bad drivers.

Have you driven in the DMV or Baltimore? Lol, how is this even a question?

Because most times there’s a reckless moving violation on the road, the plates are Maryland. Maybe it’s because they are so far from everything that they feel they need to speed and so forth?

LOL, my little kids always say "Maryland driver" any time someone cuts us off, busts down the breakdown lane, or, this is a new one, drives down the oncoming lane until they can make a left hand turn.

statistics show that VA drivers are actually the worse.

I find MD drivers are way too cautious.

VA drivers are way too aggressive and discourteous.

I live in MD. Our drivers are by far the worst. They've never met a bumper they won't tailgate, a red light they won't run through or a turn lane they use as a straight lane. They're all awful. I would say I'm awful but I'm scared of them and hardly drive anymore...

Lol, you can't be serious. MD drivers have extreme aggression. It's truly absurd the speeds at which some MDers drive on the beltway and on I95. 100 mph is easy, and it's not just going that fast, but the aggression/tailgating they do at those speeds.

Only someone from MD would write this. MD drivers are by far the worst. VA drivers are the ones doing 55 in the left lane of the highway.

They earned it the old fashioned way - one dumbass maneuver at a time.

Mine too. And they’re never wrong.

Doesn't mean they are FROM Maryland. Maybe they learned to drive elsewhere.

Take your clown show elsewhere, op.

I learned to drive in MD, and lived/drove in VA for 20+ years. Lived in the beltway area my entire life, so I feel like I can offer an objective opinion.

There are good drivers and there are bad drivers, regardless of what your plate says. If someone is unfamiliar with a road or traffic pattern, they will probably make mistakes. Give a little grace.

Also, blanket generalizations are not constructive and to some degree harmful.

Yes they are wrong. I have been cut off by lots of drivers including VA and DC.

I'm not sure this statement is correct. At the very least, it seems ill advised to change lanes during the turn as there could be a car that turns right onto the same road on red without stopping which most people seem to do.
