You are absolutely correct and all I'm saying is that it's a big risk to you as well. Is it worth the risk you are taking? |
It's no risk to me at all. Firstly the idea of getting my butt kicked doesn't bother me at all. Fighting and beating or, on occasion, getting beaten are just a daily part of life for a man - or at least they used to be. Neither worries me at all. And secondly if your kid is a mal-coordinated unathletic waste of field space, the odds are pretty good they inherited it from you. So you're not likely to be winning the fight you seem so eager to have in any case. |
Your kid is the best and most technical player on an EDP team? Lol. Think that proves my point. |
|
We experienced this in kindergarten soccer, of all things. In the post game snack session one parent took it upon herself to critique all the players and commented that X and Y look like they don't know what they are doing or even want to be there -- in ear shot of the kids. I happen to be aware that both of those kids have non-obvious special needs and their playing was developmentally appropriate for the age and developmental issues. The parent of one of them was so hurt and upset that they quit, which is the exact opposite of what that child needed, but I don't blame them.
Other parents are so focused on their own kid being the best on the best team that they fail at being human. |
NP: AND THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH SPORTS TODAY. PARENTS SHOULD BE BANNED. Just look at these fools. |
Big talk behind a keyboard. Pathetic!! |
|
OP this is unacceptable. Parent of two that played Divison 1.
If anyone criticized my kids at any age they'd have to deal with all four foot ten of me and it would not be pretty. Also, I never had my kids with coaches that screamed at kids. Never. Walked away twice never looked back. |
Still depressed and hurt because your DC is warming the bench during an away game that took you hours to drive to. I strongly recommend you made an immediate appointment with a psychiatrist. There are pills for your condition. I wish I can help you but I’m a internal medicine doctor not a psychiatrist. |
Wow! Your kid is the most technical kid on her EDP team! She couldn’t make GA or ECNL? LOL |
+1. I’m a parent of two boys that are also playing D1 soccer. If anyone on our team that criticizes my boys during their youth soccer games, they would have to deal with my husband who is 6’6” 270 lbs and former D1 football player. There are many games that their uncles would attend who are as equally large and strong. It’s interesting that no parents ever criticize my boys back then even though they were late bloomers/growth spurts. I don’t know if the other parents were just decent human beings or were just too scared to piss off my husband. |
|
I’m glad we’re on an ECNL team that have highly educated, classy and decent human beings.
But at the same time, our coach and club doesn’t tolerate these types of behaviors from parents either. |
Who is Ava? |
| OP, I think you should report this to the club and the coach about this. It’s unacceptable and it also encourages these types of bullying from other parents and players. |
You are such a loser. |
+1. While I’m not 6’6” tall, I carry a big stick!! Verbally abusing my DC will get you a physical abuse from me. |
