Do other parents yell criticisms at your kid?

a year ago, GA U17 daughter getting screamed at by another parent. Actually 2 parents. And honestly, not a joke - this was our last year at FCV.

Yelling at kids when they make a mistake is completely wrong especially when yelling at players on your DC’s team. Did your mother teach you “if you can’t say anything positive, keep your mouth shut”?

Yes, it is frustrating when your DC’s teammates sucks, but it’s not appropriate whatsoever to comment anything negative.

Snowflake. My kid needs teammates who don't suck. And if your kid sucks they need to hear it so they either shape up or ship out.

Eh. Two 7 yos on my daughter's team were doing cartwheels on the field and were completely oblivious after the game had restarted. They were near me so I yelled, "Go play soccer girls." They looked up and went off to play. Is that a criticism?

Blame the coach, not the player. It’s the coach that offered them a spot on the team. Secondly, it’s the coaches’ job to shape the up or ship them out, NOT you!!

You think by yelling negative comments at them during the game is going to make them play better?? No, it makes them worse.

Stop being a stupid jerk!

We all make choices everyday. If you choose to yell at my kid, there is a big risk of finding me in your face. Is the risk worth the reward? Up to you.

Weight was never mentioned by the OP.

Thats stepping up and doing the right thing when both their coach and parents failed.

Sounds like you have a sucky kid and you think they should be protected from life. Snowflake family.

Maybe not. But perhaps it should be. Weight is a big problem for a lot of these kids. We used to call such kids fatties and the result was that they were embarrassed and did something about it. Now we enable their behavior, fail to criticize them, and they remain fat, fail at life, and die decades before they otherwise would.

Sorry to disappoint you, but my DD is the best and most technical player on her EDP D1 team.

Sounds like you’re pissed off because the really bad player is taking up your DC’s playing time. Screaming/yelling at the other players won’t get your DC off the bench. 😭

This is why people got shot in the parking lot.

Never ever comment or yell instructions to another player on your team. Clap, yell let’s go “color of your team”…that’s about it. You can yell great ball on that long kick that goes to the other team. Stuff like that.

The thing is 99% of the parents have no clue about soccer. If you do you are not making comments or yelling instructions to any player.

This is sadly the second thread OP posted. In the first one she spoke multiple times about the offending parent's child being obese. And how she judged those parents because they allowed their daughter to gain what OP found to be an unacceptable amount of weight. She went on to then bash the child's playing ability. She removed the thread after the backlash she received and then started this one.
