The Girls Academy is not irrelevant, they are empowering and focused on the freedoms of member clubs while working cooperatively with all stakeholders, from club directors to the players themselves. Everything about ECNL is about Club and NOTHING about ECNL, is focused on freedom.. they demand loyalty, fealty, and compliance from coaches and players. It's an incredibly ff'ed'up mindset that has plagued elite, travel, and professional soccer for decades. The leadership of the GA league is incredible and a total threat to ECNL . . not just in NOVA but across the USA. At some point, the players who are skilled, athletic, and love what they do will be the ones coaches recruit. Not sure that is the type of player ECNL is churning out

For the 50 times. They have made a play and were turned down. They don’t have the quality unless poaching from neighboring ECNL clubs. FCV players that are unhappy with GA can move and join any ECNL club. If you are a good player then take the challenge and show your talent. You can go to a club that is crowded and that may make it easy for you to go to playoffs but you may get frustrated with playing time. Or you can join a team and club where you can explode your talent.

I agree with this. I don't see why FCV should want to leave GA where they are at the top of the heap and doing quite well (as measured by college commits which is the measure, right?). As long as they can stay at the top of GA, compete in GA national tournaments, play in the GA champions league, give players good exposure, then this is a better scenario for them than to be just another middling ECNL club in the mid Atlantic.

Arlington regretting the change because they looked completitive in GA and really suck in ECNL.

Arlington we’re a top 15 GA club.

Lower mid pack in the ECNL MA. I bet those players are happy to be challenged every week though.

BP’s coaching isn’t much better, but better than the s- Loudoun serves up. You shill for the largest, richest club in the state and attack a club that is 1/10th the size. FCV can vanish tomorrow and Loudoun will still be rubbish.
