Nah very decent GPA . Full pay? Remember white, make full pay shockingly in demand at medium ranked schools

Our FCPS Naviance says nope.

Spiffy Naviance if it says who was full pay

Kids also getting in with those stats to Pitt but it’s the lower range.
Other Maryland schools in play. What is he looking for? Lots of options.

The SAT needs to be bigger for St. Mary’s

Retake the SAT there’s still time

The data I’m looking at shows he could have much lower stats and still get in.

However, if he wants to go to college, there are school that will accept him and give him the opportunity to mature and flourish.

I’ve met plenty of idiots with Ph.D.s….. that doesn’t say anything.

Jeez- how is the post above at all helpful or supportive? Again, your son is just fine. My husband had a 2 something in high school went to small state school and is a CEO doing very well. He found his stride in college and in work.

What are you smoking. Full pay is great, but most are full pay from our school o Pitt. White moles are shockingly in demand at Mid-tier SLACs. Not Pitt. Not GW.

What do you consider a mid tier SLAC?

I know several high B boys who’ve gotten in.

OP- Your kid could try an apply TO. I have a striver who worked her butt off for a 1400 SAT and almost perfect GPA and she’s struggling as a first semester science major at UVA.

So please keep that in mind. I’d recommend a local TO school- Mason, VCU, JMU in VA and places like SMCM, Towson in MD.

If your kid is a hard worker, he or she will ultimately be fine. I had a low SAT score and I’m doing really well in my 40’s in a coveted job.

DP. But we keep hearing on this forum that if MC/UMC white kids go test optional, the adcoms will know they didn't do well on the tests. You're saying it's ok to go test optional if you're an average white kid?

I know a couple of TJ males in my kids class, 3.8-3.9W, 1400+ SAT, strong ECs, denied at ED. Not deferred. Not RD. Outright denied in ED, where WM will give kids a bump. My other kids well ranked FCPS school’s Naviance says 1 admit at 3.53. Also 100 plus red Xs 100+ 3.4 to 3.9. No WLs. The next lowest GPAs with acceptances. are 3.9s, coupled with 1500+/34+. And until you get above 4.0, there aren’t consistent acceptances.

It looks like the 3.51 had a hook even if not, it’s a 1% chance.

There are a lot of good options. WM isn’t one.

It’s better than a 960. But part will definately depend on how competitive the school is. Alabama and Vandy aren’t the same playing field.
