| How about Radford or CNU? |
it's slightly to moderately lower

I got into college with a 78 average and 990 SAT and my MBA with a 2.7 gpa and don’t remember gmat score as I did not care and winged it. There are schools for everyone.

Just to be clear, the schools you cite ARE the main campus, of their school. That is to say, Shippensburg is a university, not a branch or some directional school. Same for Frostburg. Same for IUP. Perhaps you meant UNC-charlotte. |
Congrats to your DD! I am glad to know she is thriving at Towson, and we really need more teachers! Yeah! |

3.5 weighted mcps accepted at U of Alabama and Ole Miss so far (Nov and Dec 2021).
Still waiting on a few others. |
| Weighted 3.2 and accepted to Michigan State, Tampa, LSU and Alabama so far. Wait on others. I was pleasantly surprised by the acceptances so far. |
| Congrats to all of the proud families! |
What are you now doing? Were your stats based on total effort? Did you need to work/have other responsibilities that took away from your study time? |
Is your DC OOS for MSU? Think someone instate with a 3.2 weighted GPA might not get into MSU. |
| Yes OOS. Happy about MSU but waiting to see if Im the program. It was just a general acceptance. |
| OP how are things going? Vern thinking about your child/ it’s going to all work out! |
GL! |

It’s going to be okay. A friend had a bad GPA and went to a bottom of the barrel law school and finished at the bottom of his class. He has a great practice, makes really good money, and enjoys his work. A relative had perfect test scores and GPA, got a PhD, and is miserable.
I’d focus on what your kid is really interested in, or several things he’s interested in because kids change their minds. Find some colleges that offer those majors and where he can grow. Going to a high level Ivy or similar doesn’t make a difference in so many different careers. Happiness does. Yes, I get it, there are some careers where it could help, but don’t worry about the highly skewed view in this area. There is a whole world out there. 3.5 is great! |
