The Princess in Black and the Goat Avenger? The Princess in Black and a monster from monster land?
At those ages my kids were the two Wild Kratt brothers. |

Cat and mouse (benefit of running off energy!)
Ariel and flounder Fairy and gremlin/goblin/dwarf/elf Witch and wizard/cat |
| Marlin and Dory (from Nemo)? |
| One of the cutest ones I saw was the mom, Dad and older sisters were all ghost busters and the baby was the stay puft marshmallow man. |
| This year my kids (9 and 4) want to be a dragon (9) and it’s rider (4) from “How to Train your dragon”. A few years ago the younger one wanted to be Jasmine and the older one was into big cats, so they went as Jasmine and her tiger. They are at different schools and tend to not really trick or treat together (last year the then 3 year old panicked and went home) so costumes that work well separately are ideal. |

What does the 6 year old WANT???
Let her pick her own costume, don’t make her do your matchy costume. Let her decide. |
This - although my older-DD and younger-DS kids have enjoyed matching in the past, sometimes extended to include others in the neighborhood. Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Marvel give you lots of options. I know from experience harry potter costumes can be really easy, comfy, and not too skimpy which is nice bc who wants to wear their winter coat OVER their costume lol!
