Ideas for Halloween costumes for older sis and younger bro

I think little kids should be able to be what they want because it's their Halloween, not be forced into some matching costume just so mom can get more likes on her instagram pictures.

OP here. He actually doesn’t care, unfortunately. I wish he would, but he just doesn’t.

Olaf and Elsa
Sebastian and Ariel
Prince Charming and Cinderella
Chip and Belle
Pascal and Rapunzel
Rajah and Jasmine
Dash and Violet (Incredibles)

Thank you for these suggestions!

Your daughter is old enough to have an opinion on what she wants to be-just ask her and see if she has thoughts about her brother's costume too.

She’s thinking of:
Ariel - it is hard to find a crab costume for a 3 year old, lots of lobster costumes though
Fairy - what matches a fairy?!
Black cat
Witch (again)

She said no to thing 1, thing 2, Cat in the Hat.

Why do they have to match or go in theme? It's not about you and the pictures-it's about your kid.

This won't help you, but when my youngest was a baby, the kids went as a slice of watermelon and a bundled up seed, LOL. At every single house, she would back at me holding a baby bundled up in all black and announce "I am a watermelon, and he is the seed that fell off from RIGHT HERE" and pointed to her belly.

Ignore the haters, OP, I agree it's cute. My 3 yo has no interest in costumes yet either so I believe you when you say your DS doesn't, and since that'll probably change soon, why NOT dress them alike while you still can?

For Ariel I think a lobster costume would be close enough. Or any sea thing - seahorse, clam, starfish, they all go with the theme.
Fairy: an elf, maybe? Or a flower/something woodsy? Tinkerbell and Peter Pan was another good suggestion.
Black cat: a mouse, or a dog?
Witch: he could be a wizard, broomstick, cat, frog/toad?

We had our kids go as our cat and dog once. I painted sweatpants to match the animals. Also avocado and toast.

Why so shocked? Next week is the beginning of October! For little kids, Halloween costumes, their birthday and Christmas ( if you celebrate) are very high priority. Have you asked either kid what they want to be?

They don’t HAVE to but since my youngest has no opinion, and I am the one paying for it, I thought it would be fun if they match. It’s not that serious. If they don’t match, it’s fine as well. I just thought I’ll post here to get some ideas. Sheesh!!
