Ideas for Halloween costumes for older sis and younger bro

Here is a DIY Sebastian: https://waffle111.rssing.com/chan-21685886/latest.php Everyone will know what you're going for with Ariel there, so don't overthink it. Or just give him a lobster costume, everyone knows what you mean.

Blueberries for Sal and a bear cub. She can put the candy in her little tin pail.

Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. Or fairy and dragon because whatever. Or fairy and gnome, you could make a pointy red hat and white beard. My DS was a gnome at 18m and it was hysterical.

I have boy/ girl kids two years apart and some years they want to match, some not. Ask them?
Match: they have done Piggie and Gerald, Princess Jasmine and Monkey, Maui and Moana
Not matching - can be anything obviously

Abby Cadabby and Elmo.

THEY DON'T HAVE TO MATCH.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A THEME.

How about asking them what they want to be?

She’s thinking of:
Ariel - it is hard to find a crab costume for a 3 year old, lots of lobster costumes though
Fairy - what matches a fairy?!
Black cat
Witch (again)

She said no to thing 1, thing 2, Cat in the Hat.

Rolling my eyes so hard. They don't have to match, OP. Get over it. They'll be cute no matter what.

I think it's cuter if they don't match. We had Elmo, Darth Vader, and Medusa last year.

Just let her be a fairy and get the 3yo something cute that is unrelated.

ariel = he can be flounder and be a yellow fish
Fairy - he can be a boy fairy, a gnome, a unicorn, a dragon - she is a mythical creature. He can be one too
Black cat - he is another black cat
Witch - he is a warlock, he is black cat, he is gargoyle, he is ghost

I always let my older pick and then little bro was always that character's side kick:

Olaf and Elsa
Sebastian and Ariel
Prince Charming and Cinderella
Chip and Belle
Pascal and Rapunzel
Rajah and Jasmine
Dash and Violet (Incredibles)

Also, it's ADORABLE to match them...won't be able to forever. Enjoy! They will get tons of compliments and they will love it.

Does your younger not care at all what he's going to be? Both my kids have always had opinions except when they were babies. I think little kids should be able to be what they want because it's their Halloween, not be forced into some matching costume just so mom can get more likes on her instagram pictures.

They LOVE it! A time will come when they don't, and that's fine, we will move on. For now, I'm enjoying it and so are they. Don't hate on cuteness.

Last year my older daughter was a mermaid and my younger son was a narwhal

Mine did mermaid and shark at those ages.

Their choices, but kind of a funny combo.
