BUT you get the same touches playing on the A team with your age and MORE visibility and likely better coaching/competition. It's all about player development and not everyone takes the same path or should. That's why a hard rule won't work. |

Dont get the debate, if your goal is college soccer with 28 roster spots, your kid will need to be able to ball against kids up to 4yrs older . So if you are sweating a couple months and getting moved up or down a year you have got bigger problems, go train and get better so you can compete.

Pick A team over B team every time. |
May but the decision to allow a player to play up is ultimately based on technical criteria. |
Correct. The issue here is that a HS Sophmore would be trying to get recruited while playing on a Freshman team. College coaches want players that can play up and contribute day one against sometimes 4 years or older players. This is why playing down on a grade lower team makes players unrecruitable for college coaches. |
Teams won't let players play down, you have to play on age. |

There really isn't a debate. Their is one parent trying to bully kids to play up on grade to snowplow for his daughter. Yeah, colleges get international players, they know what they are doing. |
Players that are young and born Aug Sept can be either grade. in this situation clubs should put players on an A or B team thats their grade in school. (not a grade down team) |
Theres no snowplow just pointing out the fact that playing on a grade down team makes players unrecruitable. Many parents dont realise this and trust that clubs wont screw their kid over this way. Its better to have some knowledge so you dont get into that situation. |
Not according to Arlington and ECNL Have one that is forcing kids up? |
You are snowplowing. People can make their own decisions that you don't agree with, it's ok. |
The only person snowplowing is you + trying to say that playjng down a grade is normal. Its not. |
