So pathetic. Unfortunately for you the tide is turning. People are tired of all the ECNL nonsense and are glad to have an alternative. I hope GA gets in touch with the players and parents that switch over and key into what they like and what can be done better. |
ill start - stickers, magnets, socks and HATS at showcases to buy - stop taking so many teams watering down the league - more showcases - more showcases not coupled with champions cup or playoffs - work to get more college coaches to showcases to catch up with ECNL |
We talking about practice? practice? Go look at the top 20 teams nationally u13-u18 and get back to me how many are GA. It's all regional/local so a pointless debate for many reasons. |
I think ECNL has the hat market cornered no need to compete on that one. I dont understand how more showcases translates into anything other than more costs for parents. Most colleges dont have a recruitment team that attends more than two or three events. Wouldn't it be better for recruiters to have a single event with all the top teams / players? If I was a recruiter this is what id want. |
Recruiters like to see players as many times as they can. Duh. Tell me you know nothing about recruiting without telling me you know nothing about recruiting. |
That's ridiculous. Recruiters have a list of players that have expressed interest in their school. They attend events to see if the highlights sent are for real. Within 5 minutes of watching a player they'll know if they would fit on their team. Theres no reason to watch players play multiple times. |
I would love this for DD. Scholarship offers based on five minutes of play. |
That's not the way it works. Recruiters watch and try to objectively rank players. The list of potential players doesn't really change. If they can get the top players great. If not you move down to the next on on the list. Watching players multiple times doesnt change things and it could be a negative if they were sick or injured. |
This is so stupid. Word is out, recruiters are only interested in ECNL events over GA events.
The game is already over for GA. I feel sorry for GA families. Enjoy paying for college while every player on a 28 player ECNL team gets a full ride and all the real championships while GA gets made up titles. |
15000+ coaches at every ECNL event. GA doesn’t have a chance. |
The ECNL hats is strong with this one. |
Number of college women's soccer teams 336 Division I 263 Division II 424 Division III 1023 total So 15000+ coaches... That would be 15 coaches per team and all of them are recruiting players at ECNL events. Give me a break you lie and make things up that are ridiculously untrue. |
I think you need a better sarcasm detector. |
I wish the statement actually was sarcasm. Unfortunately ECNL hats like to say things like this all the time. |
You're wrong. Count them on their websites. GA was 15-20 fewer last year. They added, if you count their new conference alignment, to about where ECNL was last year. Hard to know exactly yet what ECNL's new number but likely not much different with drops and adds. |
