Which is essentially rents paid by the lower and middle income people. Such hypocrites |

Harry and Meghan gave up -
- Use of their HRHs (but not the existence) - 2.7 million for house refurbishment - Three military patronages from Harry and a Commonwealth Youth Ambassadorship - Tours and engagements on behalf of the Queen They received - - The ability to make as much money as they want whenever and wherever - No ‘quality control’ of their commercial income, crucially - Duchy of Cornwall funding - Ability to live in North America - Freedom from Royal Rota - Frogmore Cottage as their UK base as long as they pay the 'commercial rent' of 4,000 pounds monthly I mean I'm reading this as - still royals but less work, more money. |
| Nah, not royals anymore. Now they're just celebs. We'll see how long it lasts. |
It remains to be seen where they land on the balcony for things like the next coronation and other official, public events they attend. |
Harry will remain a prince and retain his HRH, but not use the title - Rebecca English https://twitter.com/RE_DailyMail/status/1218602090584530951 |
For photoshoots I expect them to be in the back like Beatrice and Eugenie...and I don't think they care. They're already off to the side sort of. Unless Charles becomes King tomorrow and kicks everyone but his kids/grandkiddies off the balcony of course. |
You can follow his insta account, if you want. I won't bother. |
| Seems reasonable. |
| And Sussexes for the win! |

I think was a good outcome for the Queen in this horrible situation. . She was smart to let them keep HRH but not use it because that way when they divorce (and they will) you can bring Harry back in. Smart to also make sure he always has a U.K. home and I predict Megan goes there zero. Also if they do something wacky everyone will know they are not representing England. Also like that they have to pay back the money spent in Frogmore. Will see what the future holds and hopefully they make it but it will be hard. He is essentially no longer royal and will have to find something to do. She will be fine and back to making bad tv

| Looks like they has given them everything they want, including financial their lifestyle and leaving the door wide open for a come back. Very gracious for a horrible, abusive family. Or do we still think it was blackmail? |
I would think that there might be an inverse relationship between real estate and security costs. A home in an area with other rich people with security considerations and protocols in place might be cheaper for them to secure than a home elsewhere. Over time, it might make financial sense to pay more upfront for the house in order to take save substantially on their security, especially who is picking up the tab for their security has become such a public point of contention. |
| I am very much looking forward to Piers Morgan's apoplectic temper tantrum. |
| So I guess they really will be moving to LA in two years. Meghan's never going back to England, it seems. Unless they pursue Canadian citizenship? |
Wow! This is a much bigger break than I was expecting. Good for them. Cleans things up nicely. |
