My daughter plays on a showcase GA team from a well known midwestern club with a reputation for producing college players. Our showcase team has attracted many D1 coaches from SEC, Big10, ACC, etc. Multiple kids on her team, including my daughter have played ECNL. Outside of the top tier ECNL clubs, the level of competition between ECNL and GA is much closer than most want to admit.

The top of the GA and the middle of ECNL are closer than you want to admit.

As a parent with a kid on a top GA team. The top GA teams and top ECNL teams are pretty much the same thing.

lmao....

out of the top 100 clubs in the country with the most 2026 commits as of now with 6 of more commitments, 17 from GA, 83 from ECNL
out of the clubs with 10 or more commitments, 6 from GA and 50 ECNL

Yes and theres also more girls ECNL players that stop playing soccer in their first year of college than any other league. Says it all.

of course. what a stupid comment to say tho. teams take the best players. best players want to play at the top level. but they sit the bench! that is how the best teams work!!! my goodness, bless your heart.

Well at least we agree that they quit because theyre not good enough to "cut it". Seems like a problem for girls ECNL.

no, they are playing with and against the very best and get beat out. that is life this happens in EVERY facet of life...jobs etc. you are a good player at a GA team, one of the best. you Never sit the bench and you start every game. you bet out every player who comes for your position. but you want to play with the best and against the best so you go to an ECNL team and sit the bench. it happens at every level. geez

Less "punching down" and more nervous flailing because they know GA is receiving recruiter attention.

you are talking about recruiting services right for kids who can't get recruited?

according to these stats, GA is way behind..

You can go to wherever club you want. Theres no reason to have a blind faith in a league. The ranking app will quickly show you which clubs are producing wins and which ones aren't.

Anonymous wrote:The ECNL hats can try to keep selling fear about GA not getting visability with recruiters. But, it's not true.

GA has already taken half of ECNLs recruitment visibility. Think about it if you were a recruiter would you choose to look at a middling ECNL club or a top GA club?

What will happen over time is ECNL players will go to the top GA clubs and vice versa. Regionally there will be a few top GA clubs and a few top ECNL clubs then everyone else.

This is dumb? GA has taken half of ECNL’s recruiting visibility? A NOVA team had 185 coaches at a single game in North Carolina this past weekend.

That doesnt make sense.

Recruiters aren't shopping for players at events. They're there to look at players who have contacted them.

At most each team is rostering 22 players. This means max of 44 players reaching out to colleges and asking them to watch them play.

If theres 185 recruiters watching a single game this means each player is inviting 4 recruiters each and all the recruiters are showing up at the same time, same game.

Just stop with the outrageous lies.

Not the poster wtih 185 Coaches at a single game - guessing it was probably VDA v. Ukies 2009. They played Saturday later in the afternoon. But, I can tell you that my DD plays ECNL 2009 and there were a ton of coaches at her games. 130 Day 1, about 100 day 2 and about 80 on day 3. Were the coaches all D1 P4? No, of course not. There was a mix including some well regarded mid majors and even higher end D3 schools. Her team has just about everyone interested in playing some sort of college soccer so they have been consistently reaching out. And, it was the last event before the June 15 date which also drove attendance.

This whole ECNL v. GA thing is just getting silly. Play where it works best for you. If that's GA, great. If that's GA, great. Good luck.

If true I bet every recruiter there was thinking to themselves "this is stupid what am I doing here". I also bet that many of the recruiters booked flights for GA events to next day to see what else was available.

Im surprised leagues dont serve alcohol and food to recruiters to keep them at the games.

You should see the hospitality tent that we set up. Top notch.

kids want to play in college. wins aren't that important as it use to be. they matter but not as much as it does to parents. what league you play in, what club you play for, what showcases you go to that has the most coaches attending to be seen..... that is what is important to the kids.

We went undefeated beating all ECNL national league teams. I have always thought that outside of the top tier clubs, that the ECNL was all marketing.

And now chicago rush phenoms doesnt exist in its current iteration. Where does she play now

The core of the Chicago Rush Phenoms team is intact and playing as Evolution ECNL RL, but some key contributors to the team left over time and have returned to bigger ECNL/GA clubs around Chicago.
