GA has already taken half of ECNLs recruitment visibility. Think about it if you were a recruiter would you choose to look at a middling ECNL club or a top GA club?
What will happen over time is ECNL players will go to the top GA clubs and vice versa. Regionally there will be a few top GA clubs and a few top ECNL clubs then everyone else.
This is dumb? GA has taken half of ECNL’s recruiting visibility? A NOVA team had 185 coaches at a single game in North Carolina this past weekend.
That doesnt make sense.
Recruiters aren't shopping for players at events. They're there to look at players who have contacted them.
At most each team is rostering 22 players. This means max of 44 players reaching out to colleges and asking them to watch them play.
If theres 185 recruiters watching a single game this means each player is inviting 4 recruiters each and all the recruiters are showing up at the same time, same game.
Just stop with the outrageous lies.
Not the poster wtih 185 Coaches at a single game - guessing it was probably VDA v. Ukies 2009. They played Saturday later in the afternoon. But, I can tell you that my DD plays ECNL 2009 and there were a ton of coaches at her games. 130 Day 1, about 100 day 2 and about 80 on day 3. Were the coaches all D1 P4? No, of course not. There was a mix including some well regarded mid majors and even higher end D3 schools. Her team has just about everyone interested in playing some sort of college soccer so they have been consistently reaching out. And, it was the last event before the June 15 date which also drove attendance.
This whole ECNL v. GA thing is just getting silly. Play where it works best for you. If that's GA, great. If that's GA, great. Good luck.
