to the PP, +1000 but don't expect much from lmvsc, i asked twice during townhall about the HS ages since the academy didn't apply to us and i've still received no answer. apparently they've got time to still come here and blame este, but no time for anything else

If you're looking for competitive soccer, depending on your location, I would look at SYC, Alexandria or Arlington first...

Not worth it for $1,7000 per year!

You forgot to add team fees and travel costs to it!

All above Clubs are great. You might not get in their top teams but 2nd and 3rd teams would probably be the same as any lmvsc current top teams!

I’d love nothing more than this Lmvsc-Syc thing to end, but let’s be real for a second. DD is entering her U18 season and we’re leaving (we didn’t even have a goalkeeper), but let me show you a girls rundown:

Every 03 red team player is gone, and now several of the best 04s (one team) are leaving (who didn’t have a CCL win this year). I don’t know what happened with 05 red team, but they went from ranked top 5 in GotSoccer down to 40; LB is white team coach so yeah. There is no 06 team. The one 07 team played in NCSL. There were only twelve 08 girls, and they’ll be 11v11 this year.

For the boys, I wouldn’t be too surprised if it’s the same. But the 02, 03, 04 (once team not in CCL), 05, and 06 teams are shadows of what they were. This academy won’t help. Stop blaming Este, stop talking about Syc. My advice: leave CCL, focus on developing players in an appropriate level of NCSL. It’ll cheapen the costs for players, and they’ll be able to compete.

To the Lmvsc staff that responds, I’ll be responding to you. To any parents that think I’m being too harsh and show no faith, I don’t because the organization has proven to me what they are: in it for the money. Which is why they are afraid to leave CCL (and I do think of they stay in, this will be their last season).

Funny how the information in the townhall always seems to apply to only a couple teams. Does anybody remember last year? “Coaches get two years per team then switch”. Okay 2003, 2004, 2005 girls.

nearly all of the girls who played in ccl have left over these past two seasons. this means white team players had to fill the roster this year, and the results showed. with so many more leaving, it’ll be just that many more white team players meaning the results will be the same or bigger deficits. you’re now basically looking at ncsl-level of teams playing in ccl, that’s why their competition results have been so poor (and some still had to play soca, beach, sya, arlington, etc). there will be missing teams again this year, the only questions are:
- will there be as many as 2019-2020 with six missing teams?
- if so, why won’t they just move to ccl2? they had no problem moving white teams to ncsl, and it helped them compete better (it would also be cheaper, which is why we left)

The refund email was sent early last week and our manager sent a reminder over the weekend with a link to the forms. The email from the club wasn’t clear though so I could see how it could be missed.

If the former white teams are now the red teams and are performing poorly, I guess the parents complaining about the lack of attention of development given to white and blue in the past were accurate. Clubs should be focused on developing players in house and not taking entire teams to build your club. Which is why we are leaving LMVSC for Alexandria.

This has always been the case for any non ECNL/DA/GA league. Talent leaves after 13 anyways, always has. CCL after 13 has always been B level league.
