Thank God for Virginia! Isn’t that what Alabamans say about Mississippi? |
And Virginians should be thankful for West Virginia. |
Yeah, but all those VA parents are still inferior... sucks, huh? |
If you think Arlington and Alexandria are purple, you need to do some more homework. |
Not only are Arlington/Alexandria not purple, they’ve always been “blue.” Arlington/Alexandria were Union territory. They were exceedingly anti-slavery and the union set up defenses along the “Arlington line” in territory that was pro Union to protect DC. |
Still too much Lee this, Jackson that and "war of northern aggression" memorabilia. Get the rest of the Confederate dead-enders out of your state and we'll consider letting you come to our DC parent's parties. |
Ok, let’s make a deal. In exchange, you get rid of all of your aggressive big law partner types and the “my brain is bigger than the universe types” and the party has to consist of actual friends— not social climbing in some DC power vacuum that no one else cares about. To be clear, I am not going to Maryland. That is way too far. |
Imagine being so desperate to appear old money that you go on an anonymous internet forum to bang on about the Confederacy. Sad, really. Those “DC parents parties” likely only exist in your mind. |

Weird post.
For example, a couple of heirs of the Mars fortune live in northern VA as does the co-founder of the Carlyle group. |
So my family has a crest, allow me to respond - my family has lived in DC for several generations. I don't know anyone from VA that is like you are describing, but I'm assuming that you are trashy, which is why you attract trashy people. |
Imagine being so pitiful and desperate to defend the confederacy that you claim to celebrate “heritage not hate.” News flash: Your heritage is hateful. I’m grateful that I don’t live in the land of delusion, confederate monuments, and lost causes. VA is teetering on joining its more southern neighbors who wish to bring the Handmaid’s Tale to life. Do better Virginia! |
Lol I neither live in nor am from Virginia, so “my” heritage is not anything. But your obsession with this is not normal or healthy. |
Oh, honey. Go look where the Mason Dixon line was. Educate yourself before spewing nonsense |
